Chris, the chef, was friendly and very professional checking to see if everything was to our satisfaction. We all enjoyed our meals as well as the restaurant's atmosphere.”

“Clean, quiet hotel with basic amenities. Rooms were slightly larger than expected, based on the type of hotel. Beds were unusually tall/high, which may pose a problem for children and people with disabilities, but the mattress was firm and there were both feather and non-feather-filled pillows on each bed. There was only one wash cloth and three towels in my room with two queen beds. There was an on-site free breakfast buffet with two meat and two egg choices, as well as cereal, oatmeal, and make-your-own pancakes. Bagel and pastry choices were slightly better than expected, based on my experiences with in-house buffet-style breakfasts. Decor was modern and well-maintained. The price was higher than average for the brand of hotel, location, and a Thursday night.”

“I'm not gonna lie, I was a little nervous to be placed in a cabin by the walking trails. Thankfully, we did not and we had a lovely, relaxing stay for our anniversary! We especially enjoyed the peace and quiet we got. Even though you are somewhat close to neighbors, each lot has some privacy and people tend to keep to themselves. The cabin itself was incredibly clean, something particularly important to me. I enjoyed that the shower was stainless steel (it was honestly cleaner than some 4 and 5-star hotels I have visited!) and the kitchen was spotless as well! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would like to visit again in the future if possible!”

“Room and lodge was Beautiful. Pool and hot tubs are very nice. The restaurant was a nightmare, we weren't seated until 20 min after our reservation. After waiting 40 minutes I was told two of the items that made my meal were unavailable and to choose something else. Everything took a long time to come out and was dry and cool like it had been sitting done for a while before it came out. Dinner was expensive for the quality. They brought out my salad with chicken, I did not order the chicken but ate it anyway as I'd been waiting so long I was hungry. Then the burger came out and the bun was so toasted it had a level of crouton consistency and was hard like it was stale. I will come back to the lodge, but never to the restaurant. Please hire more experienced wait staff and kitchen staff.”

“Freedom Valley was really a great experience. Everyone from the moment we checked in was so nice and welcoming. The owners are very personable and friendly as are the season campers. We mentioned a tiny issue we were having with the stove in our camper and a maintenance man we at our camper literally 5 minutes later and had the issue fixed right away. The landscaping is impeccably maintained and the campground is well equipped.”
