“This is a mixed review for me. I love westward ho & have been coming to braddicks for roughly 20years now. However the quality is slowly decreasing. Whilst they are going further up market they are loosing what made it so great for all of us families in the first place! Rob Braddicks has also stopped providing entertainment over the pier house in the evenings which is sad for all who stay… it leaves you short for things to do everyday during the evening. Again I absolutely love the place & hold so so many dear memories with friends & family. But the prices are also getting ridiculous to stay for a week…. You can only justify spending X amount of money on a UK holiday. By the time you factor in the cost of a holiday home + fuel + food + spending money it’s just not worth it now. I have spoke to Rob about all of this & more but he unfortunately told me it won’t be changing and this is the direction he’s pushing now. I feel it’s gone from being very family orientated to money money money now. Sadly I don’t think I’ll be coming here for much longer I’ll have to find somewhere else to justify the money 😓”

“A lovely 4 night stay in a spacious dog friendly lodge with hot tub. Pleasant surroundings, in the middle of the countryside, very quiet, nice walks. Enjoyed the gym, hydro pool, steam room and sauna. Pleasant restaurant with dog friendly section, service a little slow considering how quiet it was. Lodge itself was clean, modern with an abundance of hot water…very cosy. Could do with more towels for hot tub use and a mop to dry the floor after use…it’s quite a walk to the showers. All in all a really great place, would be happy to return and recommend.”

“Sells as 4 stars. I can only presume January is down season. From basics in the room not working, heating, shower, bathroom light only the heating was repaired. To a highly restricted food menu, due to having our dog with us. This was a present for me so I don't know, but I guess the dinner, b&b package was not at a reduced price for having a food option of limited reheated convenience foods, eg frozen fish in batter n chips. Very disappointing.”

“The compact cabin was at the back in the mature trees. It was very peaceful and relaxing. It was almost like floating in the air. The cabin was very clean and functional. If you want a beautiful quiet valley a ten min walks from a stunning beach then this is the place. We loved it. Even the greedy squirrel that ate all the bird food.”
