“My first visit to Calico Lounge. I was recommended to try the Triple Stacked Buttermilk Pancakes. I chose the berry version (I decided to get one of my five a day!), although they do have a version with bacon and maple syrup. The portion size was very good and averagely priced at £9.25. I also had a Mocha coffee, which, at £3.60, was averagely priced. The menu is extensive and changes on a monthly basis. I would come back again to try something savoury on the menu.”

“First time visiting here, was pleasantly surprised with the food and would have given 5 stars for service except black pudding missing off both breakfast and toast was requested DRY and had loads of butter. “Service was very slow even though it was very quiet. Staff clearly didn’t want to be there. My partners pint was flat and took forever to bring a new one which wasn’t much better. No one collected out empty glasses when bringing new drinks. Our starters haggis Bon Bons were clearly reheated as they were overcooked and then left to go cold again before serving. I had steak which was meant to be medium well but it was like leather”

“Brilliant pub that serves great drinks, amazing food, cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. The fires were lit which was a lovely touch coming in from the cold, the staff were so friendly and attentive and the food was amazing! I was so happy to see a good selection of vegan options on the menu. We had the risotto and Gnocci which was faultless. Highly recommend to anyone if you’re in the area or passing through. “First time coming here and I'm glad I did. Neighbours are always recommending it. Firstly the service was great and the food was great. Portion sizes are just right. Not small and not too big. My father who is quite picky enjoyed every moment of it. From starter to dessert and it was good to see him so happy. The prices are good for what you get. Can really recommend the prawn cocktail for starter and the chicken sizzler for main. We will definitely be back. Edit: my only issue is the disabled parking. They only have two spots”

“Been here a few times when I'm in Warrington on business and always been impressed with the food and service. Tonight was no different! I love the fact you can sit wherever you want and scan a barcode to order everything on your phone. The ordering website is really good and for anything you order it allows you to add (or remove) items really easily. Our drinks arrived within a minute of ordering, and the food didn't take long either (luckily it wasn't busy when we were there) I always order the 'lounge burger' which is really good. Just a simple burger with cheese but it's so much better than most burgers in the UK. Nice size, thick and really juicy inside but with a lovely grilled taste on the outside. The brioche bun was nice and fresh too. The burger sauce is nice, however it's a bit spicy if I remember then next time I'll swap it for standard mayo instead. Great meal with good service and I'd highly recommend the burgers here. I will be back!”

“We were seated in a room out of the main bar area which granted us a nice quiet, relaxing experience. Drink and food were served quickly after being ordered. Everyone in our party of 6 opted for a Sunday roast. All three meat options of beef, lamb & chicken were selected and served amongst the 6 of us. No complaints at all. Generous servings and all well cooked. Desserts were very good too.”

“Good when it opened, but has gone downhill. Reasonably long wait for service, plus once ready, food sat on the pass for 10 minutes before being brought to our table (for info, it was far from busy at the time, with 7 or 8 tables occupied). Food was okay, though bacon was so overcooked/dried out it was tough as old boots. My main gripe with the place is its cleanliness. Looking around we noticed food and other scum under seats, which looked like it had been there for a while. There were crumbs and more scum lodged around the chair joins. Menus were dirty. The tray that our drinks were brought over on was filthy as well. I can only hope that the kitchen has a higher hygiene standard than the rest of the place. It needs a damn good deep clean.”

“A comfortable and classy environment in which to enjoy a decent meal after a day spent in the shopping centre. We opted for Christmas specials from the menu and were glad we did. Meals were of good quality and sufficient portion sizes. Staff were very helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating, explaining items on the menu well, making good recommendations and accommodating our seating needs. After a long day we left satisfied and refreshed. More expensive than other local options but you pay for the quality and ambiance. Will be revisiting and recommending.”

“Super few hours at saint judes, we stopped for a afternoon tea with scones, sandwiches and pastry desserts, the food was absolutely amazing there. We also had a teapot full of cocktail which again was superb. Afterwards we bought another cocktail each to try, I had a haribo strawb cocktail and the other half she had a haribo tangfastics cocktail. All was great! The staff were lovely and was asking how everything was. The only bad thing I would say is we waited in the lobby as we saw a little table there like what you would see in a restaurant where you would be greeted and told where you need to go - but that didn’t happen even after 10 minutes so we just walked in. The bar itself was a bit dark and quite loud with music, I really didn’t mind that as their taste in music was exceptional but I couldn’t really hear what my girlfriend was saying a lot of the time. Also their was no food menus nearby so I couldn’t tell what the food prices were! The food that was being brought out looked absolutely banging, guess I’ll have to look online. Anyway I’d definetly come back but only if I was in the area. Thankyou for a lovely day saint judes!”

“Good food, good interior, great service downstairs, and really good atmosphere. We had a booking for 8.30pm downstairs and were sat right next to the DJ stage. The restaurant has a upscale touch but I liked the clientele that wasn't full of 18yo Essex girls trying to get a drink & a guy there (like in some other Mayfair restaurants) but was rather busy with a slightly bit 'older' clientele. The downstairs restaurant turns into a 'club' after 11pm with a DJ and upstairs remains a relaxed dinner and bar environment. The only downside was that they had the aircon turned on too low, which made our food go cold instantly. Otherwise, highly recommended.”
