“I’ve stayed here twice now and had the same room both times. The room is very nice and spacious. The check in and welcome was good. Breakfast was a bit of a let down this time though. Service was very slow and my Eggs Benedict was served cold and I didn’t have time to send it back for another. The evening bar service was good and the guy behind the bar was good for a chat. Great location for visiting the outlet shopping centre nearby too. It’s only a few minutes walk. Overall a good place to stay.”

“We were pretty disappointed walking into the Jungalow 72. It looked like it was in desperate need of renovations. They were in the middle of repairs in the bathroom and were finishing up when we arrived. I’m glad a staff member was there to show us how to open the sliding door because I would’ve never figured it out. You pop the handle on the left side to open it. There were stains on the walls, marks on the cabinets, dead flies smeared on the window. There were no bath towels or hand towels, only 2 kitchen towels. You must bring your own napkins, tissues, and soap. You must book the extra service package if you want towels, beds made, or any toiletries. No extra rolls of toilet paper, only the one roll hanging up. You put bed sheets and duvet on the bed yourself. We had a Jungalow directly on the water and the view was beautiful. The Jungalow has a dishwasher, small fridge, stovetop, and microwave. We previously stayed at the Safari Hotel last time and loved the rooms and everything was provided, but the Lake Resort is a completely different and disappointing experience in comparison. I would not recommend or come back to the Lake Resort; the Safari Hotel rooms are much better.”

“The campsite is not very big but I didn't feel that it was too cramped, even the pools were never too crowded. The children's entertainment was nice, they did lots of activities and I never saw a child with a mobile phone in their hand, everyone was busy playing, that's very good. On the camp site you can rent bikes and karts, there are a lot of cars because the car exit and the central area of the camp site with the swimming pools and theatre, are exactly on the main road to exit and enter with the cars, but these were never a danger. I slept in a trunk, there are 3 mattresses next to each other, there were 4 of us (2 adults and 2 children) and we were not comfortable because one inevitably has to stay in between one mattress and the other. The accommodation was very dusty and smelled of smoke, at night you had the feeling of being inside an ashtray :) .”

“Great campsite with a lovely (heated) swimming pool, clean washrooms (more like homely bathrooms really!), a nice bar/restaurant and friendly, welcoming staff. We stayed in a 'trekkers hut' which was excellent, close to the trampolines for the kids and with the washrooms close by. The campsite is ideally located for visiting Amersfoort or enjoying walks/bike rides in the woodlands and dunes between Amersfoor, Soest and Hilversum. Well worth a visit!”
