“I really think that with few changes it could have been a 5/5 rating... our first two days were magnificent and all we really wanted and thought we paid for... The lady that checked us in was very very helpful and looked after us for the first 2 days! Location is good, easy to get to the airport, change to metro stations or more central locations. Its about 5-7 min walk to the train station. Overall the Hotel is beautiful and very stylish. Some of the hospitality staff will go a long way and really make a difference. The PROBLEMS we faced; 1. If you are a "2nd seating" at Breakfast, from 10am on it's impossible to find a clean table, by clean I dont only mean to clear the plates, but actually clean crumbs, smoothie and jam stains off the table - everyday we had to ask for someone to clean a table so we can have breakfast and even so they only changed the paper souspla. Staff was constantly frustrated and it was clear that there were constant miscommunications hotel and restaurant staff ..... 2. The reception/Bar staff on day 3 was certainly abrupt when we went to order drinks. 3. On the evening of day 2 we realised there was a very bad sewer smell coming from the bathroom... we weren't sure if this was our fault as we had removed the room card when we left and assumed the vent was off. We tried to tell the cleaner but unfortunately she didnt speak English, instead we left the window open with the hope that it was a one off. We also thought that if it was a hotel issue surely there would be others or the cleaners would report it and didnt want to be fussy. We later realised this was the case for our neighbouring rooms. We mentioned this the receptionist, who stated, " if this was that bad she could check for another room..." at that point I realised that its common knowledge that this issue exists and figured it was easier to leave the window open since we were checking out soon. No one however apologised or asked in the end if everything was alright. Reading others feedback there seem to be similar issues for other guests that certainly haven't been addressed by management.”

“This was a little gem on my bikepacking trip. I got 5 star treatment, a great spacious single room and the breakfast was very attentive and delicious. And to top it off, my bike was locked up in the watch tower.... Loved it!”

Skyttehusets Camping And Café

Svejbækvej 3, 8600 Silkeborg, Denmark

“The campsite lies on a great location with a nice view over the lake and a lot of great possibilities for outdoor sports. However, only 3 stars because we feel the toilet facilities lack good ventilation (very warm and damp) and aren't very spacious. We didn't feel clean when we had taken a shower or brushed our teeth.”

Scandic Nørreport

Frederiksborggade 18, 1360 København, Denmark

“Hotel Scandic Nørreport offers a pleasant stay with a mix of highlights and minor drawbacks. The rooftop boasts an amazing view, and the staff's friendliness adds to the overall positive experience. The cleanliness, both in the room and throughout the hotel, is commendable. The breakfast, while generally great, could benefit from a touch more diversity. It's a minor point, but variety can enhance the experience for longer stays. Speaking of the rooms, they are impeccably clean but on the smaller side. For solo travelers, they offer adequate space, but for couples, it might feel a bit cramped. What's more, the interior hallway window, lacking an external view, can make some guests feel uncomfortable. The view of another door and hallway isn't quite what one might expect. Of course, this isn’t applicable for alk rooms. In summary, Hotel Scandic Nørreport provides a comfortable stay with excellent cleanliness, friendly staff, and a fantastic rooftop view. While the room size and window view might not suit all preferences, it's a solid choice for a solo traveler looking for a convenient and clean place to stay, right in the centre of Copenhagen.”
