“This place is a true gem. We stayed two nights on the floating chateau bungalows on the lake. It was a very unique experience unlike any we’ve ever had. They boat you out to the bungalow, and provide for your every need including delivering meals by boat. The main chateau lodge itself is extraordinary, as are the grounds, and the staff is impeccable across the board. We were here at the end of November and it rained most of the time, but it was a wonderful and very relaxing stay. This place has a magical quality to it that makes it very special.”

Rooms are comfortable and spacious, the breakfast are delicious and really offering a nice choice of options .. location is perfect for sightseeing or business which was my case. “We had a great time at Domaine de la Pierre Ronde, sleeping in the Yourte Cocoon. Coming from the Netherlands, we had great contact beforehand via e-mail and telephone (all in French) about our arrival. The Yurt was in great shape when we arrived and we were introduced in a very friendly manner. Please note that if you want to cook in the the yurt you have to bring your own appliances and something to cook on, because none is available. The Domaine is greatly situated in the Morvan, great for hikes (we can really recommend 'le tour du lac', around Lac Chamboux). Open fire in front of your place is allowed, making the adventure complete. The toilets and douches are great as well. Totally recommend!”

“We had such a wonderful stay at San regis in Paris. Marie-Catherine in particular was so helpful in showing us around and helping us make arrangements. The hotel is a gorgeous mix of historic building with modern amenities, and the most comfortable bed we had all trip! They really did a great job in making our honeymoon special, with personal touches and extremely responsive service. We can’t wait to come back! As Americans, we were a bit nervous about European hotels, but this was perfect! There was a large, very comfy king sized bed, air conditioning that worked well during the heatwave (85 degrees F) and US outlets so we didn’t even need all of our converters! They made our stay so comfortable!”

“First the great: The property itself is stunning. They’ve done a great job of preserving the historic features and charm while making appropriate updates for a modern hotel. Also the staff! The staff was impeccable at all points. They were friendly and courteous and were just great. We were truly impressed with each and every one of them. The good: The restaurant was good. Many courses were delicious while others were perhaps trying a bit too hard. The chef spoke of being new and working to incorporate new dishes, and the better dishes from our meal were his newer additions, so I believe things will be getting better under his stewardship. The breakfast cafe was also very nice. The rooms were good but could use some additional thought. For instance, rooms lacked any sort of luggage rack or proper place to put your suitcase. Many rooms didn’t have a small trash bin. We had to request things like an iron that feel like they should be there by default. And for reference, we were in the Lady Hamlyn suite. The bad: Not a deal breaker, but it wasn’t obvious to us that the Hamlyn suite only had one bathroom (for two bedrooms), and that you had to go through one of the bedrooms to get there (and also that bedroom doesn’t have a proper door to it). I understand that they’re working within the construct of the historic space, but in my opinion that detail should be disclosed in advance, as we may have chose a different suite. There’s really nothing bad to say. It’s a fantastic place if you want to hunker down for a few days and enjoy the property (the pool was also lovely) while enjoying the historic charm and surrounding area (though note that most things are closed during August so intend to stay on site a lot).”
