“This place is a true gem. We stayed two nights on the floating chateau bungalows on the lake. It was a very unique experience unlike any we’ve ever had. They boat you out to the bungalow, and provide for your every need including delivering meals by boat. The main chateau lodge itself is extraordinary, as are the grounds, and the staff is impeccable across the board. We were here at the end of November and it rained most of the time, but it was a wonderful and very relaxing stay. This place has a magical quality to it that makes it very special.”

“A lovely site. The pool and the beach were both wonderful. If you want the most beautiful beach on the Ile de Re, come here, it is just a 5 min walk away. Stunning. The site is great; I was there at the very end of the season so things were closing down but I have no doubt it was great in high season too.”

“I had to give it a 3 because the music from the restaurant went on very late and was completely awful. Sometimes past midnight. Which is too late when you want to get up early to beat the crowds for an early morning surf. The camp site itself is great. Ablutions are clean and the bar was very chill. The pool area was also great. Shame about the music.”

“We loved this campsite. Originally booked for 2 nights but extended to a week in October. Big pitches with a personal picnic table and awning, water and electricity on the pitch. Really modern and clean toilet / wash up area . Lovely half open air swimming pool with loungers . Friendly, helpful staff. But all this with an amazing beach within a walking distance from a back gate . Excellent independent restaurant on site with great seafood , and good prices , but book first , very popular with locals. A very happy stay I think we will return . Thank you”
