“Incredible walk, especially in the sunshine, especially for little ones. More or less a flat walk but with so many interesting things to see along the way. My kids loved being close to the sheep too. They found it very amusing, which made the walk full of giggles. The standing stones became discussions about our favourite movies, folklore, and myths. I would say go with your little ones, you'll all enjoy the experience.”

The food is great but I usually skip eating there because of the prices.”

“The car park is well positioned but very busy even in January. You may struggle to park at busy times. The well signed walk to the falls is a bit muddy in parts but suitable for most levels of fitness and a baby buggy; possibly a robust mobility scooter and is well worth it as they are spectacular. The longer loop walk is steep at the start but worth the effort with great views as you climb out of the river valley.”

“I joined Pegasus back in October 2022 and it has gone from strength to strength. Not only is it open 24hrs for those night owl gym goers but the staff are always on hand night and day when I have a question. The equipment is first class, the atmosphere is great and there is always a friendly face when I'm working out. Be it a staff member or a fellow gym member. There is lots of equipment within the gym, grouped by body part and there's lots of cardio equipment to get your heart rate up and this is just on the ground floor. There is a studio for the classes which included Spinning, antigravity, 4D Pro Bungee, Clubbercise and many more and a separate dumbbell room. Upstairs there is the boxing ring and MMA octagon, which also means lots of classes to make full use of the floor and punching bags. There's both female and male showering and changing facilities as well as a sauna and ice bath. I haven't tried the ice bath yet but I'm told it's a game changer in regards to muscle recovery. Alongside all the above fabulous facilities, there is also the option to purchase supplements on site and childcare facilities for those busy parents that want to get there pump on. Overall, this is the best gym in the area and it's only going to get better!!! 😁😁😁😁”

“*Training here is one of the best decisions I've made* Personally, I train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and came to the sport as a complete beginner. I had no previous marital arts experience and wasn't particularly sporty but since joining I have had a newfound discipline and love for BJJ. As a woman training in a male dominated sport, I cannot say how reassuring it is to train in a safe environment where Coaches and Assistant Coaches put your physical and emotional safety as a priority. The standard set by coaches here is high. However, don't let that put you off- use it as an opportunity to set your own standards higher. Coaches here focus on ensuring the fundamentals are perfected and that you're the best you can be. We recently had 8x world champion Michelle Nicolini coach at the gym for 2 months and multiple world champions have come to run seminars. Everyone at the gym is super friendly- I personally have made lifelong friends at LFF. I come to the gym from over an hour away but it's my training partners and the coaches that make it worth the journey. OSS”

“Hi. It started off well. I was looking for a fitness studio to rent. The manager, Nick, seemed like a nice guy. He showed me around and came up with a deal that was workable. We agreed to contact each other in the future to confirm things. I did not hear anything back. I came in to clarify things. However, the moment I entered, there was a strange bald man who was just aggressively staring at me. He didn't come over to talk to me and he just continued to aggressively stare at me the whole time. I am not sure what he was trying to do. It seemed like he was trying to intimidate me or something. It was not very friendly and very strange. Eventually, Nick, the manager came to the reception. He said I would need to wait for higher up people to decide. I never did hear anything back. If somebody does not want to do business with me, that is fine. However, I do not need such nonsense. I thought business was about service and providing value. Perhaps they have a different intention. That was my experience. Never mind, crack on.”

“Started training Muay Thai at this gym 1 month ago and it has been a life changing experience. The coaches are great and the people that attend the gym are always friendly and focused on improving their technique. If you plan to park, it’s about £3 for 2 hours which is fairly cheap, better than no option to park close by. Sometimes the fit sense app you book on messes up but if you call the gym they’ll sort it out for you, honestly no faults and I plan to continue training here for a long time to come!”

“Great service. Shops like this are the reason it's much better to buy in person rather than online. You can book an appointment with an advisor for the appropriate length of time. I had a young knowledgeable man named Luke. He spoke to me about my previous experiences with running, goals, current training etc Then he was able to recommend a pair and assess my gait on the treadmill. He was very patient and allowed me to try multiple pairs whilst imparting wisdom about the subject matter. After I purchased a pair I was told to try them at home and see how comfortable they were after a while. I decided that I needed a slightly bigger size and when I returned to the store this was no problem at all. Overall an excellent service and a great reason to shop in person rather than online. Shop was clean with plentiful hand sanitiser and treadmills etc were deep cleaned between different users.”

But the machines were smelly, the drinks refill machine is extra paying members only, and I got stares I've never had at other gyms, everyone seemed to have the same rundown pessimistic thought, it was the most strangest experience. Something broke in the changing room between me going in and returning. I definitely wouldn't pay for it.”

“Spent a lovely afternoon here walking around the lake with the dogs. Took about 1hr to walk around the Great Lake approx 3km. Underfoot is sand and mud mixture with occasional tree roots sticking up so make sure you have appropriate foot ware. We came just after storm Ciaran, so one area was completely flooded but managed to get through by straying off the path a little to get past the huge puddle that blocked the path. Huge car park with cafe and toilets in but didn’t use either so can’t comment on what they are like. Guessing in the summer gets very busy as plenty of little beaches scattered around the lakes to relax. Shame swimming and bbq aren’t allowed as this would really make it a better attraction in the summer months, perhaps this is something they may consider in the future if it can be done safely. As for us, dogs and adults loved walking around here and may come back before our holiday ends for another walk. Paying for parking was easy by card just before we left.”

“There are many caves on the walk down from the area we parked which was an unofficial free parking area up the road from the proper Lord's Wood car park. The caves were interesting and I was surprised to find no litter. We walked from the caves through the woods to Biblin's Bridge. We met other walkers who had given up because the path was unclear, but there was only one small bit of rough terrain climbing up, the rest was really easy. Suggest people use Google Maps and ensure their GPS dot stays on the shown path to make sure they're going the right way. If you do accidentally take a wrong turn you might be lucky enough to come across the vantage point we found overlooking the river. There is a dog poo bin closer to the proper car park.”
