“Took the family camping here. The wife thought it was too close to other campers but liked our spot. We played in the designated swim area. It was very murky but the water felt great and the kids loved it. I like that there was clean portapotties and flowing water nearby. Our site was shaded but there were others that had no shade whatsoever. The water in the lake was a bit icky but we go in it anyway. There was a store close enough that we were able to make runs if necessary. Our site was quiet time from 10 pm to 8 am and they definitely made sure. The location allowed for us to get a great look at the sky once the sun went down. Perfect site for star gazing. We didn’t get to rent water crafts but the lake is wide open. If you bring your own or rent one you will have a great time. Not very many people fishing and we unfortunately didn’t get the opportunity. All in all, we will return but this time with better planning. We went on a first time trip and never having went camping as a group before and the trip turned out solid. If you’re second guessing or trying to find a good introductory spot to take the family, this is a good one. Make sure to bring a shaded canopy or some sort of covering in case you don’t get a shaded spot.”

Update: If you are lucky to be able to train at AKA dont miss out. We moved out of town and no gym compares to the quality of training you get at AKA. The staff is amazing, they truly make you feel like family, the gym is cleaned daily. They really go above and beyond to make your entire family feel welcomed. It broke our hearts to leave AKA. And now after having our daughter train at other gyms we realize the magnitude of how great AKA really is. Dont waste your time at other gyms. Our daughter loved seeing many of the fighters she saw on TV there at AKA , it was a constant reminder that hard work pays off. The prices are good due to the quality of training and the amount time you spend training.”

“My experience has been uneven here for the last 23 years. At this time the only technician I like and trust is Byron. The others, mostly young, will give the few females who walk through the door the bum's rush--unless a male customer comes in with a daughter or granddaughter. When a shop is rushed--especially after a 4-5 holiday break--misdiagnoses inevitably follow. Folks, if you've become that busy you need to do more to hire an additional employee or two--and tell the ones already there they're coming across as knuckle-draggers. It's way past time to come out of the Dark Ages.”

Now, I wanted to love this place, but it's a hard one. The pool, sauna, and steam room was a pleasant surprise. I love the outdoor area and the views are incredible! However, I was unimpressed (to say the least) with the equipment and the decor. They have a wide variety of equipment, but like the interior design was unpleasantly outdated. You can say that it's a gym, and as long as you can get a workout in, it shouldn't matter. But for the membership price, this place could do ALOT more and I really hope they do. I could see this being a great athletic club, especially since there aren't many in the area. If or when they make the much needed upgrades, I'd gladly become a member.”
