“I saw Kristen in 2020 during covid for a highlight and lowlight. Overall I was very happy with how light she was able to highlight my hair, however the lowlights were very “Jennifer Aniston 90s chunky” despite my asking for them not to be-so I politely messaged her after and asked her if she could please break them up a little. I didn’t ask for a refund, and I tipped her well for her time to correct what I wasn’t thrilled with. (I was having to style my hair to hide the lowlights). Well, I called to make an appt to see her again as my hair has grown out and needed some TLC. I just lost my father from a long battle of cancer and so I was looking forward to finally having her highlight my hair again and getting “refreshed”. I called on Tuesday and was surprised they were able to get me in to see Kristen Thursday. However today I received a call that Kristen didn’t want to do my hair because Kristen was quote “concerned based off the last experience” and said she wasn’t the hair stylist for me!! LMFAO. WOW 😮 If you can’t handle a little constructive criticism then I will take my business elsewhere. Kristen needs to get off her high horse -it’s extremely distasteful that my appt was canceled over the fact I asked her to please break up a couple very thick lowlights over 2 years ago? Seriously? I’ll include photos below. I paid over $400 in total and was willing to give her another try, but that’s fine, I didn’t want to be in the snooty stuck up atmosphere that is Anushka anyways. Everyone there treats you like you are beneath them- Such bad business. Kristen is a big baby and lost a great customer. Take your money somewhere else where they actually care about you as a person! The first photo with my masks were my natural hair grown out before our first hair appt. I had to wear my hair up to hide the large thick stripes so that’s why I asked for them to be broken up a bit. But to not be wanted as a client simply because I was honest and needed them broken up a bit is absurd and childish. I think it says a lot about the stylist and the salon. Their are multiple owners here, and a person to mix color, wash hair, blow dry and cut, it’s all a la carte. If you want to be the best, you have to be willing to take constructive criticism. They did offer for me to see someone else but I’m good. I’ll go establish with someone more talented and happily spend over $400-500 somewhere else. All over two low lights that needed to be broken up! SMH 🤦♀️! 😂 😂 ✌🏻”

“It was an okay experience, but I’ve definitely had better. I asked the guy to make my nails thinner than normal because I work with eyeglasses and it involves having to pick up and work with very small screws, etc. He did not seem very concerned with my request. During the process, I pointed out two fingers to him that had excessive amount of acrylic on one side of the nail and very little on the other side. I asked him to smooth it out. He briefly went over them with the drill and left them alone. I also had to ask him to fix the edges on the sides of almost every finger... he still left it looking sloppy. I’m also not happy with the fact that he left such a gap between the acrylic and my cuticles that it looks like my nails are already a week old. Yes, I am picky about my nails... but we pay good money for the services therefore it should be done right! I will give him credit though for not drilling too much on my natural nails. I didn’t feel tender the next day, so that’s definitely a plus!”
