The salesman Joel was very helpful, polite and gave us plenty of time plus demonstrated great knowledge. We will certainly being back. “Bought bunk beds here a week ago, lovely phone service and then the lady in the shop(can’t remember her name) was very kind to my 3 year old giving her a few chocolates. Then collecting the bunk beds, the men were very helpful and carried everything out to my car. Lovely service and amazing product, mattresses so compfy for the kids. Also bought our mattress and pillows here a few years ago and they are beyond comfortable. If I could give 6 stars I would.”

“Anybody buying a mattress or bed should visit a place like this, where you can take them for a test drive, or your back will pay the price. No doubt lots of people go off and buy their choice from some tax dodging online seller, that puts nothing back into the locality and its people. I brought a mattress from here at no more cost than anywhere else. They delivered and installed it ready for me to jump right into. It was really heavy too..so I did appreciate them hauling it up the stairs. That was some years ago. Now I'm going back for another.”

“WORST QUALITY SOFAS WE HAVE EVER HAD, DO NOT BUY! We had our last set from the highstreet for 13+ years and they were gorgeous the day we sold them, just wanted a change. However, we have had Lucas sofas for just over a year and we have regretfully decided to sell them, despite the heavy monetary loss, it's better than us all avoiding the family room because no one wants to sit on them. We visited Lucas wanting to get something different. With their lovely shop in Aylesbury, we thought the quality would match, one year later, we are selling the sofas before they are even fully paid off. Waited months and months for the sofas to arrive. When they finally did we had trouble fitting them into the living room. Lucas were kind enough to let us swap them with others we liked in the shop, Brand ‘Collins & Hayes’. Again we waited months, but we were happy to as we were assured the lead time was due to each sofa being made to order and time was being put into the quality. You can only imagine our disappointment that despite the money and time, these sofas are not a fraction of the quality the highstreet brands are, they do not have the longevity and are at least 3x the price. From the first sit, they were uncomfortable but this has increased with time, you can see the indent on all the sofa cushions and the springs are already showing wear and tear. The 'kindness' LUCAS showed by allowing us to swap the sofa choices means that we are somehow still paying for the sofa's we received and the sofa's we returned to cover the difference. Collins and Hayes is poorer quality and based in England so I don't see why it is more expensive. £4k credit for a horrible purchase, do not get conned by the aesthetically pleasing brand, their furniture is good to look at but not functional.”

“Came on the 28th December 2023 , as soon as we arrived we were approached by a staff member asking what are we here to look for and do we need help ! We politely said we are browsing.....literally 10 seconds another member of staff approached asking the same then again then again!! Extremely frustrating when your trying to look and having pushy sales people suggesting you need to sit down and talk through what it is you want ! If people need you they will ask , me and the husband came home and ordered online and paid the extra £100 for delivery ,just so we didn't have to deal with annoying sales people . DFS need to do better stop harassing people it's not what customers like I get they are on commission but if that's the case don't have so many at one time in the store all fighting for a sale .”
