“This was one of the best meals of our road trip through the Emilia Romagna region. The drive alone through the beautiful Italian countryside from Reggio Emilia makes a visit to this restaurant worth it. But the food was the best part! Our host, who alongside his wife told us to put the phones down and enjoy the setting and the food. I recommend you do the same. Their menu have several options at a set price. We opted for their recommendations and I'm glad we did. Whatever you do, make sure yo her the Gnoccho fritto, cold cuts and pumpkin stuffed tortelloni. I almost had an orgasm when I tried it ! (see photo) Wash it all down with local Lambrusco. Dessert is simple. 36 months aged parmigianino reggiano drizzled with 25yr old pure balsamic vinegar. I look forward to another visit! “We visited Bologna in July. The place looked not very encouraging at first, but after a quick look around the street, we decided to go in. We were invited to the magical, hidden garden with fantastic atmosphere. Local bread delish, home-made meat blew us away, and I am not a fan of meat. Antipasto was extraordinary, and our Tagliatelle and Lasagna…just speechless. Service was very efficient and nice, the owner greeted us with a big smile. We will definitely come back once we’re in Bologna again :)”

“Top quality meat joint. We had some delicious tartare to start - a succulent deer with caviar, and donkey meat with dark chocolate flakes. Mains were both a beef fillet, one with a fondue sauce with plenty of truffle shavings, the other with a fondue sauce and portobello mushrooms. The meat was so tender and cut like butter, and the sauce was full of flavour. Sweet potato and onion rings for sides, equally delicious. We arrived at opening time and it was quiet. To our shock, one of the waitors was changing clothes and we saw him walking around in his underwear - this is definitely not something we wanted to see, and is the reason that 5 stars is not given. The service was excellent, however. We were regularly tended to and the food came out swiftly. Staff were proficient in speaking English. Price-wise, it's on the expensive side and our meal for two, consisting of starter, main, sides and one drink each, cost €150. I think it was well worth it though and would go again.”
