“My husband and I frequent here often, especially for the beef jerky! This meat market is always clean and stocked with all kinds of fresh meat, seafood, produce, etc. There is an abundance of staff here to help, so you're never left without someone helping you. If you want fresh meat at reasonable prices, this is the place to go. This place is local, small business and a staple in the savannah area. Everyone is pretty friendly and courteous. The best time to go is during the week work hours. Weekends tend to be a little bit more crowded, and they are closed on Sundays. There is no paved parking lot, but there is plenty of parking. Depending on the time and day of the week getting there and getting out may be a bit of a hassle due to traffic. I have been coming here for years and I would recommend this meat market to anyone.”

What a great place to get deals on meat. I gave them 4 stars because the selection is overwhelming and the advertising could be better on their website. Just make sure to grab the specials list by the register before making your way to the back counter. They also have great hot food prepared. Be sure to check everything out before you make your final selection at the back meat counter. I love this place.”

“Loved our first visit to Phat Phil’s. Our food tasted like it was coming out of granny’s kitchen. I had a veggie plate where the fresh off the cobb creamed corn was the star with carrots playing an amazing supporting role. The show stopper was the juicy chicken finger I stole off Brian’s plate. I only got to steal one because the mound was gone after I spent time enjoying my veggies. Our server was adorable and friendly - even if she called us out on being first time patrons. This is they type of restaurant that southerners would like to see earn Michelin stars.”

I did just have the rib tips but they were amazing!! Tender, hot and nicely seasoned. I heard him in back chopping away always a good sign for good ribs for me. I will be back in to try the rib bones very soon. I'm confident I will be just as happy as with the tips! Gave two stars for atmosphere because the it seemed more like its a take out spot.”
