“I first went for a dental appointment in January 2023, upon arrival I was instructed I was only booked with a hygienist and not a dentist although I had advised when booking I needed a filling reviewed. This resulted in me having to return a week later for a secondary appointment. Although the dentist was lovely, the appointment took well over an hour and during that time there was several delays due to items not being where they should be etc. Following that appointment I was asked to book in to see the dentist again in 6 months for a further review. 6 months has passed and I have now been told my appointment can't go ahead as the dentist won't be there. When asked to reschedule, the staff weren't able to tell me when I could come in nor if I needed a dentist or just a hygienist (they asked me to decide, even though I had been booked to see a dentist for 6 months?). Although a great location and the treatment was good, I feel their lack of processes and understanding is letting them down and so I won't be returning again as I can't guarantee what I'm being told is going to be right or even I will have an appointment spot!”

“Over the weekend, I injured my foot and booked to see a local doctor on Monday morning. I saw Dr Ian at 8am. The appointment barely lasted 5 minutes, he didn’t ask when the injury happened (it had been a day and he wrote on my X-Ray referral that it had been a week). He gave me an X-Ray referral and didn’t say anything about when I would hear back, what to expect or how I could manage the pain. I called on Tuesday afternoon and was told that I might hear back by the end of the week. I called again on Wednesday and was asked to call the X-Ray place myself to have scans sent through. The X-Ray place said they’d been sent through already but they’d send them again. I ended up booking with my regular GP and saw him this morning to discuss results and pain management. Luckily no breaks but it’s been a rough week. I never heard back from Telegraph Road Clinic and I’ll never be going back. I’m appalled by the lack of care and professionalism. It feels like I wasn’t treated as a patient but as a money grab.”

“My doctor has always been amazing and provided excellent service. Unfortunately the reception staff are extremely rude and unhelpful. They demand immediate payment for online appointments however their invoices states the payment is due within 30 days. I have received a phone call every day for 7 days. If payment is required on the day the invoices need to state that clearly. One receptionist was extremely patronising and demanded I get my credit card to pay via phone even though I was on strict bed rest from medical complications. She didn’t understand how my wallet couldn't be next to me at all times. Given the nature of a doctors surgery, you would expect that they would have better systems in place so they aren’t demanding payments 30 seconds after you’ve just received horrible news. I understand patient confidentiality but there are many different ways you could get around that. I have already discussed these concerns however it appears nothing has changed. I know it’s a busy clinic, but a bit of kindness goes a long way. We would like to feel like patients not cash cows for profit. I hope my doctor moves clinic so I never have to deal with reception staff again.”

“I’m not sure how to feel about my experience here. I’ve had better experiences at Planned Parenthood in the US during an anti-abortion protest where I had to walk through the picket line. I needed to remove my copper IUD and was advised I would not need sedation for the removal as it was easy and painless. The clinic itself looks beautiful when you walk in but it stops there, the staff are not very welcoming or friendly, the rooms are small and windows only have portions frosted, when you’re asked to widen your knees you can only do so with one leg, the other is 90 degrees with the wall. I was not given privacy to undress or to get onto the half metal table. I told the nurse I was extremely anxious and was not given any reassurance, in fact she laughed. She stuck the speculum inside and opened to the point of pain before deciding she needed another speculum and left me in the room alone with barely a word (in which I couldn’t understand due to mumbling). She couldn’t get the mirena out on the first tug and barely got it out with the second. It was an absolutely horrible experience and just as painful as the insertion. I told her I was feeling faint and needed to lie down where she did the bare minimal of confirming I can lie down but ultimately I didn’t even feel comfortable enough lying down or staying. Next time I will pay more attention to the negative reviews and ladies opt in for the sedation if you can, don’t listen or believe them when they say it’s quick and easy. Proof enough in the medical industry that women’s symptoms and pains are ignored and minimized, and disappointed a female clinic is playing that same role.”
