“The classes and instructors are pretty great but entering a classroom and seeing dried sweat pools all over the floor is really gross. Especially when your teacher cues a pose that requires your arms or legs to rest on the sweat-crusted floors. It would be great if some cleaning could be scheduled between classes. Also, it’s kind of disappointing to come here only to see the owner respond with snarky and condescending responses to any critique or concerns.”

“I love Flow! Great studio with different classes for all levels. Theresa is the instructor I go to the most and she’s AMAZING. She always gives modifications, and I feel like my practice and ability has really expanded since taking her class. Also - studios can be expensive but I think Flow is super reasonable and offers pricing options for different budgets. Highly recommend!”

“Neat little place with camping spots. We stayed the night; the camping spots are very close to each other but no one was very noisy. Slept in peace. There is a little gift shop open during the day; the lady worker with dreads was very nice and she seem happy to be working and talking to customers. I paid a $5 dlr entrance fee per person. $15 for a camping spot. No trees or shade on the camping site. It’s a nice place to see at least once.”

“Five Stars, hands down the best yoga studio on the top of the world (in Alaska)! And in my opinion, just anywhere, because I’ve never felt so at home, welcomed, encouraged, and embraced with knowledge and guidance in my practice as I do here. I believe that I’ve participated in the full array of yoga classes offered, and also joined in on educational opportunities. I love love love the teachers! I’m obsessed with the standard that the studio holds when it comes to what they offer, and I can’t say enough about the atmosphere. I usually get the passes that you can use whenever (so many to use within a year) because my schedule can be so sporadic, but I bought into my first membership recently (last 3 months) and am enjoying it extremely. I can book as many as I’d like, anytime, and even have access to virtual classes when I’m not in town. Of course I respect the terms of canceling if I can’t make it, have to, but all of the costs are fair. I’ve gained so much from my experiences there, can’t put a price on how I feel when I’m going to and leaving from the studio. The high energy I have after class carries me through my day, gracefully and mindfully. I’m very grateful for Anchorage Yoga, as it’s a light in my life, and will forever hold a special place in my heart!”

“This gym is good for its spacious cardio machine area, plenty of parking, and ease of navigating the gym. At times it’s difficult getting a spot at the smith machines as those machines tend to be the most popular. Overall, the gym is fine for your basic needs. It stays decently clean and they have spray/paper towels available for cleaning. I’ve also never had problems with the staff. They’ve always been friendly behind the front desk and when walking around.”

“Bala yoga has been awesome! I received some classes as a gift and was looking forward to trying yoga in a studio instead of videos at home. I felt very welcomed by the instructors and others attending the classes. Students are all doing different levels of poses but just focus on yourself and ways to push yourself at your level. I was motivated to keep trying and coming each week and seeing improvements in myself. There are lots of options for classes as well as times throughout the day. As a busy mom of 3, it has become something I look forward to going to each week.”

“Hot yoga is hot. It pushes you and makes you more resilient, more centered and more in touch with your body. Hot yoga is better for my joints than anything else I’ve done and it can really burn a lot of energy. I was a complete yoga novice and have had no problem getting adjusted in the regular “Modo” class. The flow class is a little more technical than I want and the calm classes are a bit too slow. The Modo studio is beautiful, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I look forward to each session. I sometimes wish there were a few more class times offered during the day but that probably not economical for the studio. All in all a great addition to my health and happiness and I will be incorporating hot yoga into my life from now on.”

“Such a simple but well kept park. Jackson creek is accessible to explore. A super nice trail that also leads to Alcott park. I would say fun for all ages. Playground is nice up to a certain age. Swings are nice and have ♿️ accessibility. Safe family friendly neighborhood.”
