“Can Xapas is in a converted 1930s cinema on what passes for the High Street in the small town of Cornella del Terri. Easy to find. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. No problem for Catalan or English speakers. The food was beautiful to the eye and impeccably fresh. Delicious and inventive combinations. We went for the €60 menu and it was more than enough. The €40 was essentially the same but needed hard choices. The tomato and fig salad was spectacular. The baccala was perfectly cooked. All other courses exceeded expectations. Great wine list with lots of local options.”

“Great gastronomic experience!! Space for good cuisine and a well-chosen wine cellar. We had dinner at the bar (comfortable and friendly). We allowed ourselves to be advised and enjoyed it very much. You need to go there more times to try everything!! Everything we ate was very good. From the menu: duck croquettes...memorable!!! Off the menu: squid tattar with kimchi and carabiner with tripe juice... stunning!!!!! Well-chosen wines by the glass. Price per person: €50. Need to repeat!!!”

“Choosing this restaurant made me feel excited and lucky for my trip. Japanese tapas achieved both Japanese and Spanish flavors, but never felt overly creative or difficult to discern. This restaurant refreshed my understanding of fusion because every dish was very delicious. There was no dish that was overly seasoned and overshadowed the original flavor and texture of the ingredients, which was what good Japanese food pursued. On this basis, it also utilized some Spanish styles. None of the sashimi platters were stale; they were all fantastic. In addition, the dumplings, a combination of pork, vegetables, and shrimp, clearly made you feel that they were handmade. On the other hand, the tempura zucchini and steamed egg were not greasy at all. The handling of oil temperature was so professional. The environment and service here were also great. There was no greasy feel despite the open kitchen and the abundance of cooked food. On the other hand, the service staff was very adequate, positive, and friendly.”

“The ambiance is clean and crisp, clean starched white table cloth, good crockery and cutlery. The service is friendly and helpful. The gentleman even helped take care of the baby of the couple on the next table so they could eat without interruption, first I've ever seen this! For us, they provided a change of plates, when we asked, in between dishes. We ordered a set menu, which came with a number of taster dishes followed by a main course, dessert and coffee. While on the expensive side, the food portions were generous and tasty. The tasters are just the right amount to make you feel good but leaving you looking forward to what comes next. The dishes follow on one to the next, which is nice but if they wanted they could slow this down just slightly. Overall, while the food is tasty and well balanced, perhaps the use of oil is a bit too generous. For mains, I had the sea bass and Carles had the turbot, both were well cooked and came with the same assortment of side vegetables, a good balance. The turbot was baked and better than the bass, which needed a bit more cooking to crisp the skin A generous selection of desserts, i had Tiramisu and Carles had lioneses. Both were nice. The coffee was strong and a perfect finish to a good meal.”

“Great surprise at Campdevànol. It is hard to believe there is such stylish high-end cusine in this area, as it is most common to more traditional Catalan cuusine. You have a -very imaginative named- a la carte menu and then you can go for a gastronomic set menú that includes few starters, main to choose and desserts to chose for 35€. Everything was extremely good and very well presented. There is also a kids menu for 13€. They do accept dogs at the terrace (which I prefer if the weather allows.
