“Well-located in a posh neighbourhood. Atmosphere is quiet and soothing, dining areas are nicely appointed and available both indoors and outdoors. Menu - as a whole - is on the small side. For whatever reason, descriptions - while objective and clear - are not immediately enticing. Maybe some unusual combinations / ingredients require a bit more time to process. Food is very good, though, expertly made and nicely presented. Prices are quite high. Greeting staff is attentive and helpful. Table service, however, was not compatible with the restaurant's atmosphere / ethos / price. Helper's standoffish attitude was a significant low point. Valet parking and street parking available.”

“Finally decided to give Nelita a try after receiving good recommendations from friends and positive reviews from the local food community. As always, when a restaurant has good recommendations and becomes a comercial success, expectations come along. Nelita was not different. Expectations were set high for this modern and cozy Italian restaurant located in Pinheiros, in a very prominent restaurant cluster in the area. We visited it in a regular week night. We were able to get seated even without reservations. But don’t take it as a rule: the restaurant is small and it is always packed and we were lucky. Make reservations. Nelita delivered a very good experience overall. The drinks we had before dinner were correct and they have an interesting variety of original drinks in the menu. The kids on the bar that night were very professional and made an excellent service. The food is excellent. The quality of the ingredients, the execution, presentation. Top notch. The octopus papardelle, which is one of the most famous dishes in the menu, was awesome. The chèvre agnolotti with lemon confit had a very interesting mild sweetness that surprised us. And the scallops with Beurre Blanc, guanciale and a local wild bee honey was by far the high point of the night, one of the best starter we had in a very long time. The disappointment was the extreme unbalance between the size of the dishes (specially the starters) and the price charged for them. I am used to visit modern restaurants and I’m ok with smaller size portions. But Nelita took the downsizing to a next level, specially considering the price charged for some of the dishes. All in all, an excellent meal in a very interesting restaurant, but the prices of the menu are something that will make me think if I would be back soon. I believe there are many restaurants at the same level in town charging more reasonable prices for a similar experience. That is the only reason it won’t get the 5th star.”
