“We had a business trip in Alzenau and spontaneously wanted to go to a restaurant for dinner. Luckily we chose La Taverna. We were surprised when we set our first step in. It was an amazing big room with a lot of green inside, warm and welcoming. It is quite a special atmosphere that hardly it could be found another restaurant same as La Taverna. Foods were amazing and we highly recommended to try fresh noodles, kind of homemade noodles. Staffs are very friendly and it seems like no waiting time for the foods. Just a small notice, if you are Asian or not so familiar with Bayern portion, just order less than you normally do. Bayern portion is always bigger than in other areas. So enjoy your time in the restaurant!”

Prices wise, I believe they're reasonable, comparing to my country, that's half the price. Ordered a grilles octopus for starter and lamb chops for main. Let me tell you that, this food, is super fresh and tasty. The portions were big and satisfying, and the taste was just great. Ordered a wheat beer from the barrel, it was one of the best that I have drank. All in all, it came up to almost 40 euros. 2 dishes, 1 beer, 1 0.4l mineral water. And... They gave me a shot of Ouzo which was very good too. Note to the restaurant - you should make an English menu, because your waiters doesn't understand much.. I will come back next time when I'm in Munich or Garching.”

The calimari had excellent taste and texture. The tzatziki had good taste and texture with the right amount of firmness. The gyros were not hard or dry. The rice and mushrooms had a good taste. The salad was crisp and fresh. I don't think the prices are excessive. It was a very pleasant experience with family and friends.”
