“We had a great evening. The restaurant is nicely themed, but can be a little bit dark sometimes. The service was very friendly and the food was served very quickly. While it all tasted great, there were a few small things to note. My hamburger meat was served very rare, to the point where it felt raw. The fries which were served with each dish also hadn't been given proper time to fry, and didn't taste great as a result. All in all it felt like the food was rushed, which meant fast service but also some mistakes. Despite these mistakes however it tasted great. I would definitely recommend it for people looking for a casual location to have nice food for a good price. The serving is fast so you can be in and out in an hour if you want, or stay and enjoy the atmosphere.”

“Food was moderate, as it felt a little cheap and artificial. Service was very slow, as it took 50 minutes to get our meals, although great and helpful staff! The atmosphere was splendid, great detail, although the music was a tad bit loud, so we had to raise our voices a little. Apart from that minor imperfection, the impression was well.”

“Lekker eten en vriendelijke serveersters. I visited while continuing my search for Dirk, who has gone missing in Western Europe. I do not know who the mysterious Jofel is but they seem to have a plan to take over the Netherlands. There are now multiple “Class by Jofel” restaurants across the country and I feel Jofel will not rest until the land is gekoloniseerd. The staff are friendly and well trained, the restaurant has had no expense spared on the decoration and interior design. The food is very good, but I don’t think it quite makes a jump to fine dining. One thing that I personally found to be challenging was the music. It was a little too loud but the choice of music was too similar. Every song has the same beat and after a while it felt like Jofel themselves was standing behind you, slapping the back of your head like a drum in 4/4 time. Overall, a very pleasant experience and I will visit again in the future, potentially with Dirk.”

“Very traditional Italian restaurant in the centre of Rotterdam. In the summer, you can sit outside on the terrace (it is recommended to request a place outside once you make a reservation). The melanzane parmigiana was great; the ravioli with ricotta and lime was a bit too overwhelming for us.”

“Last saturday we had lunch here. I visited with two international friends and the staff had no issues switching between English and Dutch. They even spoke some Spanish to my Italian friend! Exceedingly kind and warm people, we felt so welcome. The atmosphere is cosy and decorations are nice. The food was the superstar here though, I had the Piadina di Roma and I could not stop savouring each bite. Great recommendation if you are exploring the center of Wassenaar. Oh and try their draft beer or the radler version!”

The staff is delightful, the place is a rarity, so beautiful, cozy and elegant, and the cook is clearly very, now, very skilled.
