“Where do I begin? Perhaps that this place is worth the 2 hour drive. As someone who has to eat GF (gluten free) imagine my joy in finding a place that offers gluten free pita bread and they’re HUGE. They have all the other offerings too of course, not a small menu! I appreciate finding little spots that you know has regulars, and more than a few - that’s how you know it’s good. I recommend the Kofta - delicious place. Will be back again soon.”

“Much much better than I remembered 10 years ago when I was here for winterlicious. The service before was pretentious but this time I feel they were genuine and friendly. Food were very well prepared, though very pricey. A main fish dish cost about $50-60, thank god it was fresh and large portion! It's a older sophisticated atmosphere here, good for chatting and business dinners. Overall I am glad I came back here, because I would love them to do well as they have been here so long they must be doing something right.”

“Absolutely incredible stay. My boyfriend and I won a radio contest that entailed dinner, a night stay in the grand room, and an exotic car experience on the track. The twisted lemon is such an amazing place. The staff truly took the best care of us, with complimentary wine, the most stunning room with the most quaint details, and the food at the restaurant was perfect. I had the beef tenderloin, along with a few clarity cocktails, and we were offered dessert on the house, and the best table in the establishment. Truly felt so special and taken care of. We hope to be back soon again. Big shoutout to Emma for organizing everything for us, and Marcus for being a great server.”

“About everything you’d expect from a fine dining place. Food was absolutely delicious I haven’t had lamb this good in a while which was impressive considering every place does generally the same thing but not Greystones! Service was really friendly but our waitress was definitely overworked cause she was hustling & not very present but I like fewer touches at the table when I’m eating so it didn’t bother me. Drinks were good but I was expecting more. I also feel like a change of glasses would do your cocktails better & I forget the name but the side seasoning on one of the drinks all over the glass was more salty than spicy & just too much of it. All in all a fantastic time though.”

“Not an authentic Greek restaurant. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant for a few reasons. First, the cooking was sloppy. A salad that they call “Greek” is just a plate of lettuce with sprinkles of feta. Two slices of tomatoes, no cucumber, no green bell pepper - just a ton of lettuce. See the picture below. The meat was not cooked evenly, some pieces are well done, but some are raw inside. Saganaki was overflown with oil, and the bread was not fresh. Second, the service was slow. It wasn't a busy day, and they had four people on the floor, but they didn't bother to come and take plates, and it took them a very long time to serve our order. The atmosphere there is pleasant, and the music is calm. If they had a patio or opened windows, it would have also been great. Overall, not a great experience.”

“We’ve been in Luna for a first time yesterday and were really impressed by food and people who works there. Food is really delicious and great and really like home made compared to bigger commercial chains, feels like some family member cooked it for you! Even kids who are really picky when it comes to food enjoyed it and now say that it is their favourite place! Another thank you goes to amazing and friendly owners of this place - Dominic and Melanie who really care about how you feel yourself there! So friendly and nice people was a pleasure to meet and talk to them! This place is a true gem of Newmarket, Aurora and surrounding areas and from now on we will be frequent guests there!”

“Overall our visit was good. The staff were fantastic. Attentive, helpful, and friendly, everything you would want at a restaurant. We were a large group too, they handled it really well. The food was good, everyone enjoyed the flavour, it came hot and at the same time. My only complaint was that my dish, Gnocchi was under cooked, some were nearly raw dough which was disappointing. But I attributed that to our larger group and the kitchen staff trying to get everything cooked at the same time. I will try them again and adjust my rating based on follow up visits.”

“I went there for their Winterlicious menu. We ordered the following dishes: (appetizers) bissara, dokka; (main) koshari, hawawshi (we ordered both the beef and chicken/goat cheese); (desserts) bird nest konafa, konafa Canadiana. We also ordered their two available ice-teas (saffron and hisbiscus) First, the place is quite small. It has only about 8-9 tables. There is only one person in the front room serving everyone so the service can be a bit slow. It is not a problem if you don't need anything, but if you ask for anything extra, like more spicy sauce, it will take a while to arrive. Second, the food is quite good, but nothing special. It's not a place I would go out of my way to come back to. For the appetizers, one was a hummus-liie dip with 2 small pieces of pitas bread. The other was dry dip with 2 small pieces of pita bread. I felt that they were really stingy with the pita bread. The hawawshi is described as a burger but it isn't really, it's more like a calzone. The koshari tastes similar to a pasta/rice/chickpea salad. The konafas were ok. I think the bird nest one tasted better than the Canadiana. In sum, the food was enjoyable but not memorable. If I could give a rating of between 3.5-4 I think that's more accurate for me. As for the ice-teas, I wouldn't order them again and I do not recommend them. They tasted like low quality powdered drink of some sort. The saffron one had a weird taste, and not sure how I could describe it. My dinner mate said maybe plasticky. the hisbiscus one didn't have much flavour. I saw them take the drinks pre-made from the fridge. I doubt they made the drinks themselves. Also, they handed us the receipt before we even finished our meal, which I thought was a bit odd. We had late dinner so it wasn't like there was a lineup of people looking for a table.”

“Off the beaten path. This delightful little place was amazing and well worth the little trek to get to it. Food was perfect! The Calamari wasn’t over cooked. Lovely flavour in the scallop and shrimp dish; even the gnocchi was good (I will point out I have a a few times and didn’t like it) Service was warm and welcoming even when we were making the reservation. Our server took good care of us and made sure we were taken care of. Atmosphere. It had the Mom & Pop feel. Every thing had its place and wasn’t over filled. It was elegant! If you’re close or want to go on a cute date with someone special this would be a good choice. In my personal opinion, I would give it five maple leafs 🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁”

“My best friend and I went to La Paella for my Birthday dinner. The environment was very chill with cool decor. Food was mediocre at best. The paella was ok and not that flavourful. Rice had to be cooked longer. Nothing stood out for us in terms of dish wise. I’ve had better paella elsewhere. The pimento peppers with beef cheeks was mushy and the empanadas was nothing special. The service was fine when we ordered our food but as we’re ordering our dessert for my Birthday the server told us our 2 hours is up and we can’t order dessert and she needed the table back and for us to leave. I understand during Covid there was a time restriction with the amount of food we ordered and money spent it was so rude to kick us out!! They knew it was my birthday too!! What a bad experience, I have never been told to leave a restaurant in the middle of ordering dessert. Never coming back not just due to the rude service but also food being mediocre.”

“Angela was awesome, always love finding local restaurants opposed to huge chains. Food was excellent, not terribly priced and the quality, and presentation was top notch - thus making it worthwhile for the cost. There aren't too many restaurants that meet these criteria but this is definitely one of them. There's nothing quite like actual fresh pasta, a nice thick piece of veal that is tender and the meatballs are not salty. Will most certainly be back here in the future. I'd give it a 10 stars if I could.”

“That was my first time there. I liked the interior design and customer service. I ordered Koobideh and Chicken Shawerma plate. The Koobideh was good but the shawarma plate compared to many other places that I have been to was not tasty. They probably use chicken breast instead of chicken thighs that is why it was too dried. In overall I had a good experience.”
