“We held a diwali event here for about 200 people for Brahmin society of New York. The place is very nice for holding any kind of we vent. The management was very nice and worked very well with us to plan our whole event. They were always available to answer questions and went above and beyond to get things done. The food was delicious. All our guests loved the food and the service. I recommend this place.”

The food is delicious, the service is extremely attentive, and it is a very nice neighborhood place. The food is Mediterranean, Greek, and Cypriat in style. “Ovelia is my go-to spot when in Queens. It brings back so many great memories, and the food is amazing. Chris has done a phenomenal job with the place, and the food on the menu is on point. You will be able to choose from a variety of amazing appetizers, entrees, and drinks. The atmosphere is welcoming yet trendy. When the weather permits, you are able to sit outside at a table beneath umbrellas or at a bar stool and served by the bartender via a garage door. I can not say enough about this place.”

“My GF and i had ordered for Pick up and placed an order for a red snapper and some other things. Unfortunately, after getting home and finally getting to open my food. I was NOT given a red snapper and i was given a Porgy. Although the porgy was decently tasteful. I was given a MUCH cheaper fish than what i have ordered. And still paid 36$ for that single fish that i DID NOT ORDER. On top of that, their “Creamy” seafood soup. Was NOT creamy at all was extremely watery and was definitely NOT the soup of the day. It was the soup of yesterday or days before. Not to mention, when you walk into that place all of the eyes from all the other customers are just BEAMING on you like if you just dont belong there. 76$ on a fish, a soup, and 1 side. To be given the wrong cheap fish and feel uncomfortable even to just pick up my food and leave quickly. This place is NOT a vibe. Hamido Seafood > abuqir”

“Had a gathering today w approx 30 family and friends, the food from start to finish was beyond SUPERB, they truly deserve Zagat rating. The fried calamari was better than Greece stated by my sister in law who was there in September, antipasto, appetizers, fish, chicken kabob on skewers were tremendous we couldn't get enough we were licking our fingers. I personally would rate them at 10, the owner Jenny is a gem. Will be back to try their grilled Octopus.”

“Their food good and service is good This establishment uses third party delivery men, and could lose business over this matter. People they use for deliveries want more tip money and they stay outside the door waiting. They refuse to give the customer their delivery until they get tipped. I am speculating that delivery guy may add tipps to your credit card beware.”
