“Went for dinner with a friend and partner. We ordered 3 mains and 2 items were decent. The burger and bulgur were fine but the gnocchi was terrible. It was soggy and had weird taste. The virgin mocktail wasn’t tasty at all. Furthermore bill was wrong. Spent €95, but the server insisted it was €105, not sure if €10 was added as a tip?”

They are not always around you to make you uncomfortable, but always there when you need them. Chef is doing everything perfectly. Pigeon and oysters were my favourite. Do try this if you want to treat yourself nicely.”

“Had the best dinner experience here during our trip to Amsterdam. We were given a recommendation to come here and it did not disappoint. It felt like we were able to catch a glimpse of real Amsterdam life not being in a heavily touristy location. The service was excellent making us feel super special. The food was delish. “This restaurant had been on my to go list for a while, but unfortunately I was a bit disappointed. The service was the main reason for this. It was difficult getting their attention, they basically looked away even though we were looking at them. Also when I asked for more wine it took well over 15 minutes and by then my food was getting cold. The pasta was good, but the cream was almost a bit too thick. However, the cocktail and the burrata was amazing!”

“Beautiful building with large mosaic murals on both walls. The bistro is a bit of a bar and maybe has more of a vibe during the day. We came for dinner and it was quite empty. The lighting is a bit bright so is not as cozy as it could be. The waiters took ages to clear the tables around the restaurant so we sat amongst dirty tables for half of the meal. The food itself was fine. We had burgers, they were well made and quite tasty. Overall nothing special but the setting is worth a visit.”

Not outstanding, most of the things we tried were mediocre (oysters, cheese plate, pumpkin). I’ve put high expectations for dumplings (pierogi), but the one with pumpkin were way too greasy. The one with mushrooms were better, but the portion was too small. They have a good wine card and prices are reasonable. Summary: you can visit the place for a glass of wine, small bites and the toilet.”

“The food and wine at Lazuur was delicious. We enjoyed all of the dishes and also the madeleines that came with the bill were amazing. Our only issue was the pace of the evening. It took a long time to take our order and despite arriving at 18:45 we got our main course around 22:00 so it was a long evening. I suspect there was a new waiter assigned to our table and were unlucky as others who arrived later received their dishes quicker. Would like to go back again.”
