“I have been here many times and this place is so delicious! I get cheese enchiladas, rice, and queso. It’s so yummy everytime! My friend gets the soft chicken and cheese tacos with rice and beans and she loves her meal as well. They are quick to seat you and take your order. If there every is a small wait it’s worth the wait! I highly suggest you come and eat here! The waiters are all very sweet too!”

“This restaurant is situated on a beautiful golf course in LaPorte County, Indiana. The menu is soul food, and the chef is a renowned chef from Chicago. The food was simply amazing. We had a reservation, but there was plenty of seating, and they also had shady outdoor seating as well. The chef came out to ask how we liked the food Which was really nice of him to do. This is a place that is family friendly and is it’s also a place that you can go on a romantic date. After we ordered, It did not take long for us to get our food (and they gave us a lot of it too), so much so that we took our leftovers with us. The only issue I have is that someone went into the women’s bathroom and did their business and had the entire bathroom and hallway smelling of it. Thankfully, I was able to get the smell out of my nose by the time my food came. I would definitely recommend this restaurant because the food is great, the location and the views are beautiful and it was nice vibes. The hostess and our waitress were very nice, professional, and helpful. Now the menu is a little pricey, but it’s so worth it. I’d visit again and would recommended two friends.”

“This is such a chic little restaurant hidden in what seems to be a pretty dead town. It's one of the first restaurants to start revitalizing the downtown and it has not only an amazing atmosphere but also amazing food. The waitress was such a joy and we loved her. The orange mimosa was delicious. The tomato soup and grilled cheese was an elevated experience and yummy comfort food. The biscuits and gravy was huge, flavorful and filling.”

Overall the food was good & our server on point however it was freezing cold in there & it was a cold day already in the 40's so yeah it was kinda ti cold to relax & really enjoy the food. “The food was awesome and well presented! We loved the queso, vegetarian soyrizo options, smoked meatloaf, and southwest salad! The inside is also nicely decorated and had garage doors to open up the dining room to the nice day outside. The hostess was also very accommodating when I needed to change my reservation! Overall a great spot to eat in downtown Lafayette!”

“Most recent review: We've been here a couple times since the last post and I'm happy to report, they've redeemed themselves. Food has been much better, service has been excellent. Even the gentleman at the register seemed fairly pleasant the last time we were there. I'm glad, I really like their food! Recent Updated Post: We have been coming here for a while now and we have always enjoyed it, but this last time was awful. First of all, I don't know who the guy is that sits at the register, but he's extremely rude and has been the last couple times we've been. During our last visit we ordered the carnitas, it was almost all gristle, fat and we even found a piece of bone. Our bill was $50+ and in all honesty, it was so bad it wasn't worth $20, the dips were runny, there was a spoonful of beans and a huge pile of rice on the plate. Just not up to par at all. We won't be going back for a while, hopefully that will give them time to get their act back together. OP: Delicious Mexican food! The Carnitas were excellent, great flavor! Service was good, salsa and chips were on point, guacamole tasty! Highly recommend, we will be back!”

“The tables have bottles of red sauce and green salsa for the chips & general flavoring. Be wary of the green - it's the hot one! I got The Platter which is rice, refried beans, and choice of meat with 3 corn or flour tortillas. I chose chicken and flour. The portions were just right for a late lunch. The chicken was more than enough to fill the 3 tortillas. I put rice, beans, and meat together with red sauce & green salsa. The iced tea had a floral taste which may not be to everyone's liking. I found it a nice change and they gave me a full cup to go as well. The service was friendly and slow paced so I didn't feel rushed.”
