Uncertain if we visited on a rare night but they had an almost overwhelming amount of specials offered as well which some at our table took advantage of and were equally delicious. Our table ordered the salmon spoons from the special and these should be a daily offering. Decent selection of drinks, and we were able to order off menu mixed drinks as well which was appreciated. Prices were moderate to high, but the portions were large and with everything tasting as wonderful as it did definitely worth it.”

“We ordered the chilaquiles with chicken the chilaquiles sauce was super salty. The French fries were salty, where you can see the amount of salt they added on. Also, the service was not great. We got there and didn't feel welcomed no hello or guidance on where to sit, they basically said sit anywhere, which is okay. But took a while to give us service. When I asked the waitress about the menu items she was very unsure of what the menu items had. The steak tacos were okay, however there were several peices of fat instead of actual steak. The biggest let down and disappointment was the chips and salsa, the salsa was straight up Herdez canned salsa all they did was add cilantro and onions- this is supposed to be mexican food what is this. Lol. I couldn't believe it. The margarita was premixed, like the one you find at the store, all they did was pour it over ice. I do not recommend this place, food was below average, salsa was store brought, service was lack luster they're not even trying. We ended up spending about $68 on the food, which was a huge disappointment.”

“We visited El Carreton in Greenville, Ohio today for a yearly luncheon with my husband's high school graduation class of 1969. What a fantastic choice of restaurants! I liked El Carreton from first look. The decor was simple but very welcoming. I also enjoyed that the piped-in music was Mexican, which added to the atmosphere. From the start, the staff was very friendly and energetic. We had about 16 people, all paying individually or in small groups. That did not seem to throw our waitress and her helpers in the least. They were all very efficient. I chose the Fundida with steak and chicken, and it was magnificent and came out truly sizzling hot, as did all the meals! It was served with sauteed peppers, tomatoes, and onions and smothered in melted cheese. It came with Mexican rice, lettuce with sour cream, guacamole, and pico de gallo. As if that wasn't enough, it was also served with 3 warm tortillas-- your choice between flour or corn. I HIGHLY recommend this dish. So meaty and satisfying. All the food was delicious and seemingly authentic. What an absolutely great place to dine.”

The server was amazing:: she made fabulous drinks and Was Carismatic and helpful and made our time so fun!! She recommended that we try the macaroni and cheese with some grilled chicken on it and this was by far the most amazing macaroni and cheese I’ve ever had. We also had these plantains that were served with a sweet syrup that was spicy cloves and cinnamon. It was so satisfying and interesting.. This is a total masterpiece and big win. I can’t wait to come back and have a full meal and enjoy their entire menu.”

“Reviewing the online menu before coming does not do it justice. Note all the salsas and dips are spicy they must use a certain pepper because even the queso had some kick to it. The chips are very thick as well which I appreciate. Opted for the vegetarian Green Goddess taco and the Beekeeper. Both had a variety of flavors and textures. My sister got two different tacos which she enjoyed. Overall interesting art and ambiance and good food. Came on a Thursday evening and was able to be seated immediately.”

“Such a fun place to hangout and eat! Definitely exceeds the standards of your typical food court. I’ve even been to other markets similar to this, and this one might just be my favorite! They had a ton of seating (indoor and outdoor) though I can see parking being a bit more of an issue. Fortunately we found a spot quickly. Hawaiian, BBQ, Greek, Italian, American…they have so much variety and diversity in the food they serve (more than what I even listed). There was also a small rack of teas and goodies that you could purchase. In hindsight, I really should have gotten something from there… My friends and I got fries, Italian, and Hawaiian meals and all were delicious! They said this place had become a pretty popular spot, and I see why. I come to Cincinnati often, so I will make sure to stop by here again.”

Whaka Taco changed that up. High quality food, nicely prepared, beautifully presented. A diverse menu. Great value lunch menus. $8 for two tacos, two side, chips and salsa is good in my book.7 min from orders to food on the table. There is room for improvement. Prices on non-specials are high. Seven buck for street corn is off the wall. The rice and black beans were bland, seemingly ununseasoned. But Wahaka Taco offered a glimmer of hope for commercial diverse cuisine in the area. They do Grub Hub and DoorDash. But add delivery fees and surcharges to already high prices and it isn't worth it. That said, it's great food. Try it.”
