“I had an awesome experience at this hidden gem Mexican restaurant in the Lower East Side. It was a pleasant surprise! The nachos were fantastic, and my fish tacos were absolutely delicious. My friends enjoyed their chicken tacos and quesadilla as well. The only downside was that the music inside was a bit loud, making it hard to hear each other. Despite that, I would definitely go again for the amazing food and overall great atmosphere. Can’t wait for my next visit!”

“I can't speak to the food since we just popped in for a night cap, but the cocktails were excellent. The ambiance was great (very dim lit romantic type of setting). “This is the perfect place to host a birthday party. I was looking for an event space to host my birthday and was recommended to check out The Cactus Shop. 10/10 I would do it here again. First off, Luis the manager was amazing. With planning the menu, getting to tour the space, setting up/execution, Luis was great to partner to work with! “This is a great, cheap go-to spot for $4 tacos and $9 margaritas. I’ve frequented their East Village location many times and have never walked away with a bill more than $25 pp. Free chips and salsa when you come in and sit down too. Cool LA vibes and memorabilia, great spot to watch an LA game for any playoff event (if you can get a seat - show up early…very early). Worth it!”

“One thing about this place is that the owner makes you feel at home. Service is amazing. Portions are pretty big so you can take leftovers. They give you big pieces of the protein you order and it comes with rice, beans and tortillas. Guac was freshly made just needed a bit more salt. The atmosphere is so inviting and clean”

“Tortazo-NoMad is a wonderful Mexican restaurant that also offers a great bar menu and Happy Hour menu. I chatted with Terry, who has been the main chef since they opened two years ago. I was impressed with how dedicated he is and proud of the food that his kitchen provides for their customers. Every thing I ate was fabulous and the restaurant also offers an excellent catering menu!. They also have outdoor seating and gender friendly bathrooms.”

“When I tell you this has to be on eof the best meals I've had in a restaurant this year, and trust me, I go a few, I mean it. The catfish was mouthwatering the roasted veggies delicious, down to the sauce and the churro ice cream sandwich! I was in LOVE, paired with friendly service, and a very fun and light ambiance, this is a visit you won't regret!!!”

“The food was decent . The portion of the food very small . I had two drinks . One was a strawberry martini virgin . I didn’t want it and nor drink it . I asked to remove it off my billed replied they couldn’t . The mango martini was not strong. so the price of everything was not worth it . But definitely left a 15% for the server. He was good server .”
