“I was looking to try something a little more healthy. Originally was headed to, cava but stopped here instead. I was unsure which flavor to get so I asked to try samples of the flavors. The queso was really good. The chipotle mango was not my favorite. I ended up with the chili sauce, mixed with queso. It tasted pretty good. I had the spicy chicken I didn’t really like the spicy chicken because it was more peppery. I wish I would’ve had a little more flavor then just pepper. The mushrooms were pretty good. The cucumbers on top were a little soggy. I like my cucumbers with a little more crisp. They had a really good passion kombucha. They also had a decent Toffee brownie. “Disappointing visit. Steak empanada had undercooked dough on the inside. Steak was dry and pieces were burnt. For an up charge, I’d expect the steak to have flavor and be cooked properly. It did/was not. Was charged for an up charge for mezcal when it’s the same price as the tequila. They’ve also seemed to have the marg flavors pre-mixed and it’s not the same experience it used to be. The Al pastor always is on point, has flavor and I’d eat it eat every day. The dough was cooked through and super flaky. The caramel apple was FANTASTIC and somewhat redeemed the visit. I visit a lot and I’m hoping it’s just a fluke and not a downward trend.”

“This place was okay. The service was very quick and friendly, but the food was very bland and was the worst Mexican-American food I’ve had in a long time. It seems like the restaurant relies a lot on a loyal customer base, but I don’t see why after my experience. In addition, the teenager customers of the restaurant were beyond annoying.”

“My first time eating at Alma Cocina and it was ok! The best part were the appetizers… grilled octopus and the salsa and guacamole tray. We had chicken and the steak as well as the salad. The portions were a good size , however, the food wasn’t as flavorful as I would have expected!”

“Restaurant located at the back of the market. Food is super Delicious, i want to come back and try more stuff. I do wish they would season the Mojarra before frying it, other then that. Everything was amazing. Order at the register and wait for your order to be called. If you dine in, clean after yourself. There is supplies for you to clean the table station at different parts of the restaurant. Place was busy over the weekend, but it woth the wait.”
