“Ordered the half chicken and half lamb shish as recommended. It was really tasty, juicy and the salsa binds it all together. It comes with bread and some salad too. Only let down was the price transparency. One of the wait staff told us the half and half option was 170 lira each but we were charged 200 lira each (maybe the bread and salad cost extra?) Not a huge difference anyways and still a delicious meal but something to be aware of. Staff were friendly otherwise and would come again.”

“What is this strange place? Why are so many people here? That's what I thought as I passed by, and then I smelled it... It was very inviting, so I went inside. This place turned out to be a pide bakery, which can be ordered in a dozen or so variants visible on the wall. Right next to them you can also see the prices, which are radically different from those in other bakeries. However, you can't eat here, pide is only available for takeaway. I ordered it, after a few minutes I came out with my loot and started consuming it. Freshly baked pide, crispy, hot and with a range of delicious ingredients... It was truly something perfect, so it's worth stopping here for a snack and continuing to explore the city. Great work!”

The location was absolutely stunning next to the river with the hills beyond amazing scenery well worth a visit . Disability access is not a problem as it's nice and flat. Toilets are up stairs so may cause a problem if your disabled. 10/10....”

“In an era where more and more kebab restaurants get bloated with flashy presentations and meaningless food experiments, Göçtü of Yalıkavak stands firm and solid with excellent food and atmosphere. This place is a local classic. You can’t find flashy presentations and oriental gibberish here, but there is very tasty food all around, garnished with excellent meat and beautiful view. Located just outside of Yalikavak city center towards Gümüşlük, Göçtü is located directly at the shore, with a small pier extending on to the sea. Make a reservation in advance because this place is crowded all year long. Prices are not cheap but I’ve seen more expensive, so it’s totally worth it. Try their cig kofte, any type of kebap and mezes. You’ll definitely love it.”

“Lebanese Restaurant in Nishantashi. The food was delicious and the ambience was good. The main issue, the service was slow and horrible. The place was half full only but it took us 5 minutes of wandering around to be seated. 15 minutes to place the order, and 37 minutes to get the bottle of water and 48 minutes to receive all the food at once. The waiters mostly young boys with no experience possibly under training. I hope they fix the service issue otherwise the food was delicious..”
