“Firstly, I loved the idea that it’s a Mediterranean style restaurant cause I’m of the opinion that Mediterranean dishes are generous with flavours and spices. However, I didn’t get the kick I had anticipated with the honey garlic chicken wings. It was really bland and I couldn’t taste any flavour nor honey in it. I had a main course called Adana which is minced lamb in skewer. It was really tasty howbeit a little too salty. The side I enjoyed most was the bulgur! The bulgur was just perfect! Secondly, the atmosphere was great and really very busy, it’s not really a relaxing space tho, so you get the full busy city restaurant vibe which I guess it’s okay pending your preference. Thirdly, the service was really great. The person who waited on my section was really observant and hands on. I wish I could remember her name to give her a shout out but she really did a great job. Overall, it was a good experience hence my 4 star review 😊.”

“We are obsessed with this place and can’t wait to go back. Everything we had was super tasty and we are dreaming of it still, they have so many different options and majority of their menu is vegetarian. It’s definitely a place to go with lots of people and share as you want to try as many dishes as possible, it’s perfect for lunch or dinner and you can go more of a lighter or heavier meal. The staff was super friendly and in the summer it’s very nice to be able to sit outside.”

“Umi Falafel is a Lebanese chain restaurant with locations across Ireland. Here in Belfast the location is perfect being right beside Queens at the top of Botanic Avenue. The interior is open and airy, the process to order is simple and it is as easy to sit in as it is to takeaway. On the menu there are lots of plant-based options but I had the classic combination of the Palestinian Falafel and the Batata Hara. The Falafel itself is very tasty and they are all made fresh behind the counter. The salad is always fresh and genuinely adds a lot of flavour. The batata hara are amazing, they are spiced perfectly and have a lovely zesty flavour too. Overall this is an amazing shout for a quick bite to eat at any time of day but it has an especially good meal deal which is served to 6pm. I would advise anyone who enjoys food to try it out 😁”

Our service was quite slow as it seemed like there was only one waitress (who was great) on hand for the lunch trade which was clearly not enough. Our food came out before our drinks and we would have had many more drinks had it been easier to get them.”

“I had dinner here last night as a group of three. The place was very lively with a DJ and lovely atmosphere, however they are not disabled friendly so we had to sit outside with my service dog. The food came promptly and we had their special which was a mixed grill for three. It was fantastic and more than enough for the three of us.”

“Stumbled across this spot the other day looking for food in peckham with vegan options Cozy vibe and it's BYOB with no corkage fee! Staff were friendly and attentive + the food was sensational. We got the falafel mezze with a side of rice + a side of okra stew. The pistachio hummus was insane and the falafels were the best I've had in a while. (I eat a lot of falafel being vegan) 😂 Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside Would deffo recommend - decent price too. Meal came to £21 total and we were stuffed”
