15 Rue Ferdinand Fabre, 75015 Paris, France

“I usually don’t rate restaurants but when I do, it’s when I really have an amazing or a bad experience. This was one of the amazing experiences. Also, one of the best Lebanese foods I have had because of the love they serve their food with. Amazing food, service and ambiance. Reserve in advance if you can.”

“Fantastic place. After all those year Madeleine is still an amazing place with great food, nice ambiance and a good service. Madeleine herself is still preparing everything in the kitchen and her cuisine is exquisite. Dishes are full of authentic flavors. The service is good Portions are quite generous Overall the value for money is very good.”

“I’ll start with the staff. They were so nice and welcoming and probably the best part of the evening. The location is weird and the place has no vibe. Now let’s get to the food. Nothing extraordinary. Very basic and even less. The dish that gave them the Michelin is basically eating poached egg with lots of tahini on top. Which on its own, at home with a slice of a sourdough toast is great. Not for a Michelin star restaurant. Not even for a restaurant at dinner time at all to be honest. Really, as much as I would want this place to be phenomenal as I would have loved to support it, it is simply basic. Malabi for dessert was the best dish of the night. Beside the Malabi and super nice staff. The place is meh.”

“Truly delicious, and very generous. Melhem and his wife welcome you with a smile and their food is really spot on 👌🏼 very few places in Paris get Lebanese food done the right way, this is one of the rarest spots. So glad to have found it! …”

Falafel Du Liban

35 Rue Rambuteau, 75003 Paris, France

“The location is great, the food is presented in a very mouthwatering and aesthetic way, everything looks fresh, healthy and delicious. The staff is mega nice, although they seemed to be under a lot of pressure. The dining area in the back was not available, they didn’t tell us why so we took our meal outside. The neighborhood is very crowded all year long (which might explain why the two members of the staff at sight looked so stressed out), but the location is great, easy to find. Some things cost more if you dine in, my friend wanted to dine in and I wanted to buy some snacks for later at home, they let me buy my snacks at the takeaway price and my friend ended up eating his food somewhere else because the sitting area was unavailable. Bon appétit !”

“As a Moroccan, I think this place is a total failure, food is not tasty the meat is rock solid when it should be tender, the toilet was so dirty I can even describe that part!! Electricity kept going down light went out many times, very basic service. I don’t recommend.”

“Nice Turkish restaurant with lots of indoor and outdoor seating options and toilet facilities upstairs. The staff were friendly and the service was good, it didn't take long for our food to be brought to us after we placed and paid for our order. The food was ok and you get a large size serving, I had a sandwich with chips and the sandwich had lots of meat and there is a variety of sauces available for customers to use.”

“Such a wonderful dining experience. The decor takes you away to another land, the food is traditional Moroccan deliciousness, the service kind and attentive. The gentleman who seated us this last visit is presumably the owner. He has been managing the restaurant at least as far back as 1990 when I first discovered this gem. I became a regular, dining here at least once a month over the years. On this most recent visit as a tourist (October 2023), he remembered me and gave a warm welcome and chatted a while… like seeing an old friend. My girlfriend was unfamiliar with Moroccan cuisine so I introduced her to a family dish that has become one of France’s favorite meals: a traditional Couscous. The lamb brochettes, merguez sausages, kefta meatballs… most amazing flavors. If you choose to get a Tajine instead of Couscous, the merguez sausages make a formidable first course, particularly when served on a bed of mint leaves. Everything I’ve had here has been beautifully prepared, delectable. Of course, you’ll want a wine to accompany your meal; I suggest one of their wines from the Maghreb, such as a Guerrouane or Boulaouane. Over the years I’ve been to many Couscous restaurants in Paris and Lyon, ranging the elegant to the “boui-boui" cafés in Belleville. From Chez Omar, Bébert, Charly, etc., pretty much all have been fabulous, rarely a disappointment, but for me Marrakech shines above for ambiance and quality of food. Sorry, forgot to take pictures of the presentation of the semoule, bouillon and meats, etc., before serving. We were hungry and happy, me feeling like I was coming home.”
