“Very enjoyable holiday in our touring caravan at this site. The site was immaculate and the wardens all very helpful. We had awful weather and the only negative was that the serviced pitch we were on was partially covered by trees and the wind and the rain made it a bit unnerving at times. But overall a great site for visiting Hawes and the surrounding area.”

“A well run community centre that has lots of events, clubs, live music and groups running regularly. Big cafe, dog friendly. Serving a good selection of hot and cold food and drinks. Outside seating. Popped in today to see the Orchid show, which was the best one I've seen for years. I think it's on again sometime in September. Lots if parking space including disabled and electric car top up.”

“We came to the Donnington Arms as it's near my daughter's house. She has used this place a few times previously and has always left happy. Great staff, very accommodating... They have a lot of sweets and treats for children... Dog friendly very popular with the local villagers They offer a huge selection of menu items (photos) and the portion sizes are great.. you really feel like you've had a good meal. Food was excellent, very fresh and tasty We spent £65 total Inc drinks for 4 people so around £15 a head so fairly priced for the area We were really pleased all round yesterday and we will definitely be going back regularly. even though it's 28 miles from home it's worth the travel on special occasions I missed the specials menu on the wall yesterday until after I'd ordered but they had a few good offers on it and the kebab & naan bread on the next table looked huge and great value for money. Can't wait to go back... 😋😋😋”

“I visited Weston today and due to my disability decided go use taxi's to and from station. Called Apple initially we had a small accent barrier as the lady thought I wanted sainsburys but I wanted Salisbury terrace we could laugh it off and she sent exact type car I needed 😁 Driver was super nice chap as well a Romanian gentleman. I decided to use apple for return leg and indicated to the dispatcher what I needed once he understood what I was meaning we were off to the races or so I thought.... I'd asked for a higher sized car because of my disability and he said he'd send one and a regular sized car arrived so I said to driver I'd asked for a higher car and he said " well there was none available so they sent me" I said " I'm sorry this is no use I'm sorry to have wasted your time" His attitude was do I look like I care?? Damn! That's why I went with 3 stars on my review.”

“Well maintained park, bowling green, croquet area, lovely cafe on site with clean loos. Great playground for kids, good dog walking, car park 30 mins free, £2 all day parking can pay by coins or card. Duck ponds, seating benches, lovely pathways.”

“We had reason to shop at Asda Kilmarnock today and have to say we could not have been treated better by all the staff we spoke to. Euan went and found us an electric buggy as soon as we arrived. Each of the staff were incredibly helpful in directing us to what we were looking for. The lady at the till even packed our shopping as she enjoyed packing. Euan took our buggy back into the store once we were finished. Thank you for all your help”
