Great indoor space in Reception for hanging out on rainy days with couches, desks and a table tennis table. Short walk to 90 Mile Beach. Highly recommend. Will definitely be back.”

“One of our favourite Top 10 campgrounds in NZ so far. They have a great shuttle service into Queenstown and are also located right beside the local town bus stop if the shuttle times don't suit. Kitchen area is amazing and super duper clean. Same with the toilets and showers. They have rain head showers, by far the best shower I have ever taken in a campground! All the staff so friendly at reception, there are games you can play and a fun bouncing pillow. Thanks to everyone there, really great experience!”

“On the positive side, very spacious room and beds comfortable. Large bathroom although not enough towel rails (not the only NZ hotel that underestimates that need). On the negative, for a 4.5 star hotel, no assistance with luggage was offered. Staff watched us do it ourselves and didn’t move to offer help. Check out is extremely early - 10am! Also not the only NZ hotel to do this but as a 4.5*, you’d think that 11am would be a minimum. Parking fee for locked parking but it’s not undercover. Only the ground floor bar/restaurant was available during our short stay. Food was good but in the pricey bracket. Breakfast was included in hotel rate and like some other NZ hotels, wasn’t the greatest value with a limited offering (again, only one hot drink - seems like offering a juice as well might break the budget!). The breakfast food was good though. Recommend the granola.”

“The beds were comfortable with lots of additional bedding supplied, plus a heater and a fan in each room. Both rooms had a TV and a dish box, but none of them worked and the batteries were dead in half of the remotes. The cupboards were also difficult to open/close, but that is understandable given they were pretty dated. Still operational though. I think ownership may have changed in the last week, as the service at the restaurant the second visit was a tad shambolic - the food was good on both visits though. There were two side lamps in the room - one was damaged and the other didn't work at all, but plenty of other lighting. The couches were quite uncomfortable as they were pull-out sofas, and seemed to be missing some cushions. Lastly, the bathroom did not have an extractor fan so everything was covered in a thin layer of moisture when I got out of the shower - definitely something to be wary of given the slippery linoleum floor. Given they allow dogs it would be great to have a double ranch slider or door with an insect mesh/grate on one, so you can have a cross breeze going without the dogs being able to escape. Having a fully fenced area where dogs can play off leash given the proximity to SH1 would be great. Also, given they allow dogs but don't let them on the furniture, it would be great if they had some dog crates that you could rent (maybe at an additional cost?) so that we don't have to bring our own.”
