“Visited on spa day deal. First impressions were that areas of the spa were in need of updating. There was peeling paint on the ceilings, evidence of water leaks on walls and ceilings. In the ladies changing more than half of the lockers didn't work, the water remover for costumes was missing, there was no shower gel in the showers and was generally dirty. The pool was nice although it stopped being heated at lunchtime so became quite cool. There were two heated loungers which were nice although again, were stopped being heated at lunch time making them pointless. There were plenty of loungers around the pool although some were broken. There were no bins around the pool so there were lots of empty paper cups just left on the floor. The spa treatments were very nice and couldn't fault them. The lunch was fine. Not a great amount of choice but sufficient for the day. Water was available but no hot drinks unless purchased from the bar. Overall, I've been on a few spa days and this is one I wouldn't return to. The facilities weren't the best and the staff weren't the most professional. Lion Quays half an hour away is much nicer and better value.”

“It's a great location but you do need to walk a fair distance if you can't get food at the location. There is a pub there that serves food but again we couldn't get a table due to some black Friday event. When asked when a table is available they said an hour, being of ill health I didn't want to wait so long. They didn't give any warning they would be fully booked up that day. The staff again do the bare minimum, one room the lights were not working and we asked could they fix it, they said they would and it never got fixed. We needed a bath mat as the tub is slippery and we had to go get it and they had to go look for one. The shower water kept going hot and warm which was annoying. They said it never is like this. If it wasn't the location with the nice views I probably go somewhere else. The breakfast was good all you can eat but it was basically 10 pounds. Not cheap but it is what it is. We booked an extra night and after the first night our cards stopped working. We got new cards and had to do more paperwork which I found a bit odd. Anyway if you have a high tolerance for such things stay here. If not maybe find somewhere nicer for the money.”

The room was great Good tv, good coffee coffee making facilities could do with more milk The bed was comfortable and on suite bathroom plenty big enough with a grand shower unit. The lift was okies, and in the morning, the breakfast was superb It's a shame is over a 10 pound taxi distance to the Doncaster town centre but other than that it's a great place to stay”

“The staff were so friendly and helpful. The chef yesterday morning was great and very kindly cooked my nieces bacon the way she likes it - thank you. Breakfast was great, tasty and lots of choice. We had a little wait for a table to accommodate the 6 of us sitting together. Just wish there was a little more thought when preparing the rooms, 6 of us over 2 rooms, yet not enough towels, cups/mugs for us all, so had to ask reception staff for these - which they gave no problem but after a 4hr drive we just wanted to shower and get into our pj's. The rooms are standard, comfy, and clean. A couple of niggles for me, the hair body wash pump is so small it takes ages to pump a tidy amount out to be able to wash our hair properly. Could also hear running water a lot, guessing it's from rooms above, but luckily, it didn't affect our sleep. It's in a great location., with plenty of parking (£5 per 24hrs).”

“Stayed for one night in Nov 23. We use Premier Inn regularly both for work and leisure. Our usual experience is a reasonable standard, good value for money, and a good night's sleep. The experience at the Dorchester Premier Inn was very different. The standards demonstrated in Dorchester are fundamentally different in almost all respects to elsewhere. On arrival, there was no staff member to check us in. No problem, so we tried to check in using the self-service machines. Both were broken with paper signs on saying so. We then spent 15 minutes walking around the hotel, trying to find a member of staff to check us in. I eventually found one who said that he would book us in, but we were disturbing his break. He reluctantly booked us in. During the usually peaceful night, there was a continual stream of people banging past the hotel room and making noises that kept us awake until the small hours. In the morning, the weather was terrible, so rather than mosey into town for a bite to eat, we elected to have breakfast in the hotel. After paying and asking someone to wipe one of the dirty empty tables, we sat down. However, there was no coffee as the machine was broken. No orange juice, no continental breakfast, no plates, the place was a mess, and the cooked food wouldn't have looked out of place in the local nick. Utterly appalling. So I asked for a refund, which I was grudgingly given by one of the staff. We were overall really disappointed. We have had such good service in the other Premier Inn hotels. I made these representations to customer service and was told that they would offer some training to staff. Would check the feedback on any Premier Inn I stay at in future. And would not go back here ever. A real shame.”

“Easy to access from the local Motorway. The local multi-story parking is close by with a short walk through a pedestrian precinct of 100-150m from the car (ideally level 2) to the front door of the hotel. The hotel entrance is a little underwhelming at street-level, with the reception on the first floor. Bedrooms, beds & breakfast (gluten-free, cooked to order) were great as usual for Premier Inn. Free WiFi worked well. One of two lifts was not working, but this isn't an issue when it's quiet. Also had a small issue with the shower head not locking at a good angle, but nothing too major. Noise from the town can be heard in a quiet room, but it calms down at a reasonable hour for sleep. Views over the Christmas stalls in the precinct and the city park to the south were great from our third floor full height window. Our preschoolers loved it & so did we!”

There's not much to do around the area, but on the flip side, having a premier inn out here was super handy for me as a pit stop for work. “Had a good experience at this Travelodge although I was there just for an overnight stay. Good service from the desk on arrival and at breakfast time. Clean and spacious bedroom, warm and cozy with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was really good with both cooked breakfast and continental to choose from. There is nothing really special being a budget hotel, but it does all the basics really well, and on that, it met my expectations.”
