“Auberge de la Pointe was highly recommended to me by a friend, and it did not disappoint. It was perfectly situated for my itinerary but would be worth a detour even if it had not been. The room was very nice with a lovely deck from which to enjoy the spectacular view. I enjoyed a nice relaxed dinner in the restaurant and was able to be back on my deck to watch the sunset. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating of my poor French, especially the charming young man at the front desk when I was checking in. I was so tired from driving that I was struggling with any language! My only complaint would be that my stay was not long enough and next time I will definitely stay longer.”

“Location was convenient, and liked the fact that you need your key card to use the elevator is nice. That's about the end of good. When we checked in they undercharged us without our knowledge so when they charged us after the stay it was almost 100$ extra a room. Whenever they talked about the deposit which what they initially took was they claim Its supposed to be 50$ a night which it was more. When we initially called to book our rooms we confirmed about getting a crib only to be told after check in they didn't have one for us. When we checked out they said they would only take the deposit that we would just be refunded any extra. When I showed the receptionist the difference in the deposit even they said that's wrong. Since we checked out we've now been charged twice for the rooms and the manager had said they would deal with (call the bank to get info so our money would be refunded or taken off a hold) and call back as soon as they were done. We have yet to still receive a call from them and our deposit is still pending which is making us unable to access any of our money for another week as of right now. Will NOT be coming back here again”

There are different 'rooms' in this place each with it's own version of the vibe as well as a covered outdoor starting area. It's on the pricier side but I think it's worth it. “Very comfortable bed mattresses, excellent open breakfast that few 3-star hotels are keeping, all staff very friendly and welcoming from cleaners to front desk to breakfast servers. However, our bathroom had a loose improperly fixed toilet at the base with a low round bowl model from the 1940s of the last century, I wonder how the bathroom was renovated and still keeping such an antique fixture not suitable for humans of the 21st century... As this is an American franchise,.be aware of large groups of student adolescents who flock from time to time, and who might ruin a night's sleep with animal-like behavior in common areas (loud knocking on doors and walls, pool trash) without accountability nor discipline, like what happened to us at twice in a single fay/night and ruined the experience; but I guess large groups are hotel favorite customers, which they suck on.”

“The hotel was very clean, the staff very efficient and polite. The rooms are perfect, check-in was quick and check-out too. The only thing is the breakfast, it is ok with bread, bagels, jam, fruit and even cold hard boiled eggs. But the coffee is not that good in my opinion and the juice is not pure, but it's just a detail and we don't leave on an empty stomach. This was a first for us in this type of hotel and we were pleasantly surprised and not at all disappointed. Well done to all the staff.”

“I would give zero stars if I could. I am writing this on Oct 4 ten minutes after the following happened. When I arrived I was told my room was given away. When I asked why I wasn’t told they said they had no number to contact me. This is not true because when I showed them I had a missed call from them (without a voicemail) they admitted it was their number. They had booked me a room in another hotel Downtown which was not convenient for me as I had booked an airport hotel due to a work commitment. When I asked to speak to the manager I was told he was gone for the day. Terrible experience.”

“Very conveniently located just minutes away from the ferry which we arrived on after an 8 hour road trip. The room was huge! Dog friendly which made us very happy. The beds were not comfy though they were very hard. Had the beds been better, this is 5 star for me! The main foyer of the hotel is beautiful with a lot of antique displays and a beautiful view.”

“It is a motel, location is perfect for taking a break about half way for us on a 12 hour drive. The rooms are old but effort has been made to make it look nicer. We stayed 2 times, both in rooms for people with pets. There was evidence of pets both times. Considering we pay extra for having a dog, the cleaning crew should be cleaning better to remove evidence of dogs having been there. I would probably stay again though. Not the Ritz, but good enough.”

“we stay at this hotel for 1 night at first look on the internet it was looking good but let me tell you I was wrong at the checking the woman look bored but did manage to give our key for the room but no other information was given + there is a pool and hot tub +room not too small +elevator accessible here the negative point - not the cleanest hotel I have seen lobby and hallway - the room was not very clean -staff not willing to help much -bed is way to hard not comfy at all -when we arrive and open the door of the room we could smell a strong smell of cigarette and pot... we then go down at the reception, just to make sure this hotel was non-smoker and they said yes, we advice them there is a strong smell of cigarette in the room and it was disgusting and they only said THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO ABOUT IT later that evening it was still the same problem and my daughter started coughing because the smell was coming from the next room (we could see the fume under the door between the two room) I went down to the reception again and the lady said that she could not change our room because the hotel was full at this moment because of the Spanish fire fighter but she will go knock of the door to advice them about the situation nothing change for the rest of the night, I will recommend you to stay away from this place if you can”
