“My husband and I stayed in one of the cottages last week and it was super clean and comfortable. Being it was during the beginning of the off season, we had the indoor pool and hot tub all to ourselves and it was so nice. We loved that it was off the main busy area so it was nice a quiet. The staff are super kind and helpful, as well. If you are a family on a budget, I highly recommend staying here. The prices for entertainment and food in the Dells are outrageous everywhere else, so you might as well save on lodging. Don't let the word "motel" hinder your searching. These small family owned places know how to take care of their visitors! Is it super fancy and updated? No. All you need is a comfortable bed and a clean room at an affordable price, right? This is what you get here. It's perfect! We had a nice, relaxing stay and will definitely stay here the next time we visit.”

They are the first hotel we've ever stayed in that proactively contacts guests who forgot something after checking out. We left an expensive electronic device behind and they called so we could pick up before leaving town. Hands down a first rate place! Highly recommend!”

“I stayed at the hotel on Friday night (Jan 12, 24) due to the major snowstorm. I felt that driving home through the snowstorm after work just posed too many safety risks. I was relieved when they had rooms available for me as a walk in. The room was clean, comfortable and adequately priced for my needs. The breakfast in the morning was a nice bonus and was quite yummy with lots of options to choose from. The lady at the desk was extremely nice and made me feel welcome. I would definitely stay again if the need arose!”

I was able to enjoy the pool at the times open and I always base my most recent review on how things are handled, rather than how a negative feeling impacted me, as everything is situational. Thank you for the adjustment and I will strongly consider staying here again in the future. ----------------------- I was having a peaceful stay and after working 2 full long days, I wanted to relax at the pool until it closed as posted on the door at 9:30 pm, photo attached. I had just stepped in the pool to ease myself in at 9 pm, when the front desk person walks in, stares at me then approached me sticking his thumb motioning to leave. I did not respond immediately and he followed up with a verbal "it's closed." - I responded with, "the sign on the door says 9:30" He responded quickly with, "nope, it's 9" and proceeds to shut off the hot tub and started turning off the lights. I cooperated and returned to my room. Hospitality was not present with this interaction and I know he's not had an easy night when I checked in and maybe suggests a similar night when he acts like a bouncer to kick me out of the pool area. If in fact it is supposed to close at 9, they should put a sign up. Much like other signs that are taped to the door the I've seen. Customers should not be treated this way and more training is required for this person to have better hospitality communication. Be better.”

“This is an absolutely horrible hotel. Not only do they not clean their rooms or change the bedding after each guest leaves, they decide to accuse guests of using derogatory language towards staff when that was never the case with multiple witnesses telling the general manager that it never happened. The first night, we arrived late after flying all day to meet up with our family at this hotel. When we went to get into bed and pulled back the sheets, there was a significant amount of blood on the sheet. Not like run through the wash blood, but like the previous guest had a bloody nose and they never changed the sheets. Then, the next morning, my husband had to deal with the extremely unprofessional general manager. Instead of "investigating" the incident, he chose to pick out my husband because he had a bald head and green shirt with tattoos. The ironic thing was he wasn't the only bald headed man with a green shirt and tattoos. My husband asked the manager if he wanted us to leave, but the manager never asked us to. After the night before and that morning, our family was done. We had 6 rooms due to being their for a family death, and we all left because we felt unsafe and unwelcome. My husband and I made sure to record the room when we left because we were afraid that damage to the room would be done and blamed on us. So, if you want blood-stained sheets, filthy rooms, an unprofessional general manager, and an experience from hell, this would be your place to go.”

“Me and my family stayed on New Year’s eve. We check in and the lobby looks nice. then we get up into our room.. to start off the bed has a stain that they called “wear and tear”. not to mention the toilet paper in the bathroom is half soaked. the bathroom smelt and looked like it was not cleaned all the way. the beds had multiple stains so as the carpet. Then the policy of the quiet time. there was multiple noise complaints coming from the 3rd floor. But it’s new year’s eve. later in the night we accidentally locked our keys in the room and went to the front desk to get new ones. as soon as we told the front desk person our room number he automatically singled us out and asking us if we’re the ones making all the noise. the pool on the other hand is really nice. but the pool water is like pee warm and very harsh to swim in. the hot tub is also nice so is the water slide and the kids play area.”

“I have been to Cedarberry Inn many times in the past and will continue to do so for as long as they are there 😃. Those who work there are always so kind and knowledgeable about the town. The pool is amazing and so is the hot tub! And I love getting a room with a whirlpool inside! My times there are always relaxing and comforting. From the entrance to the breakfast room to the rooms and activities room are clean and the layout is easy to navigate. Since opening in 1991, I have been a returning guest and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Located at 855 Phillips Blvd in Sauk City (Sauk Prairie), there are several places to go, so many things to see, and much to do in the area. And staying at the Cedarberry pulls it altogether! I really enjoy it here and I hope you will too!”

“I wish I could score a zero!!! When breakfast included is listed as a selling point - and you plan to have breakfast at the hotel, it's incredibly disturbing with what we found. Cold coffee, no waffles, muffins, bagels, yogurt, juice, or fruit. When we asked for fresh coffee, the attendant scoffed. It's his job to make sure the guest experience is optimal! Tables and chairs were dirty, and supplies were lying around. On Saturday, all signs inform that breakfast is until 10 am, but the worker shut it down at 9, so again, we had to go to the gas station for food. When we asked the horrible man at the front desk, he became argumentative and began yelling and cussing (using the F word) with a dining area full of guests and children! He refused to provide the manager's information to resolve the situation. We booked 2 rooms with a pool view and did not get the pool view rooms (yet we paid for it). First time using this hotel for our 10th annual ski trip, and it's the very last! Do NOT stay here!!! DISGUSTING!!”

“The only complaint at this hotel was that our remote control for the TV was absolutely disgusting and I didn’t realize it until I picked it up. It was greasy and covered in - what I assume was - powdered sugar. It was not a great start to our stay, but I honestly don’t have any other concerns. Possibly just an oversight by housekeeping. It happens. The check in process was very quick and easy and the person who checked us in was very kind and welcoming. Check out was easy, too. Breakfast had a decent variety of food, and the room was quiet and comfortable. The hallways and single elevator were quite busy, but if you use the stairs you’d be okay.”
