“I have been staying at The Country Inn for many years. Five years ago, I gave the Inn a 5 out of 5 rating but I have to change my rating. I just returned from a 4 night stay and I was very disappointed in the changes. The warmth and personal attention that we used to see is missing. It felt more like a chain hotel than an inn. Our beds were not made and there was no housekeeping services other than the trash being removed and towels replaced. We were told that we had to request “full housekeeping” to get our bed made or our bathroom cleaned. We did request full service but making a bed and cleaning a bathroom should be automatic. During our stay, there was a sign on the elevator that it was unavailable. However, I saw the staff using the elevator multiple times. It was not broken but it couldn’t be used by guests who had to carry their luggage up and down the stairs.”

“My husband and I came up to stay at the cabins last week. I was very impressed. We rented a king size bed cabin with a mini kitchen and bathroom. It had ocean views, and a nice deck out front. I was highly impressed with the cabin as it appeared recently renovated. It had a nice TV, and all the amenities for the kitchen. Best of all, they are pet friendly. The beach was great, too! Would return.”

“Do not stay here if you are elderly or handicapped. My 75 yr old mother had fallen at home and went to the hospital with a knee injury. Upon release I put her in the handicapped room at this motel so I could keep an eye on her as she healed. Because of her injury she was unable to make it to the bathroom in time and made a mess on the floor. So THE MOTEL TOLD ME SHE WAS NOT WELCOME TO RENT A ROOM THERE EVER AGAIN! Thank you so much for adding insult to an already ashamed and embarrassed elderly handicapped person. I wish there was a rating lower than one star for this establishment.”

“This is actually a really nice property in a beautiful location with a fantastic view of the harbor. My boyfriend and I stayed here the first weekend of October and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We absolutely loved the restaurant/lounge attached to the hotel (the Nor'Easter Pound & Market) and had awesome food and drinks. We went both nights we stayed here. The service was phenomenal and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. Our bartender was great and a lot of fun to talk to. The rooms are very basic and even a bit dated, but they are clean and comfortable, which is ultimately all that matters. I actually kind of enjoyed the nostalgic 90s vibe of this place. There is no continental breakfast, but they do have free coffee in the main lobby. The rooms have refrigerators, which is a big plus, and we had a nice little balcony with chairs overlooking the water. There is an outdoor pool for the summer months and they have a cool little souvenir shop in the lobby. They do have pet friendly rooms! The price of this hotel was EXTREMELY reasonable. We only paid a total of $327 for a 2-night stay (Saturday & Sunday). I checked their 2024 rates on their website and they have gone up slightly, but are still very reasonable. The hotels in Bar Harbor are AT LEAST twice the price that we paid here! We will 100% be staying here again this spring and summer. This is definitely not a 4 or 5-star hotel; however, If you're looking for a reasonably priced, clean, comfortable hotel in a great location that will meet all of your basic needs and is within very close proximity to Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park, but don't want to pay the outrageous peak season Bar Harbor lodging prices, I would 100% recommend Kimball Terrace!”

“I have been staying here since August. The house keepers Jennifer, Eli and Desiree have kept my room very tidy. I am very impressed on how thorough they are when cleaning. Mindy, Amanda and Shannon always greet me with a smile. They are so helpful and always try to accommodate my every need. Can’t thank them enough. Now to the breakfast, ladies, Krissy and Cathy are amazing. They are always super friendly and very nice people to have Conversations with each morning while eating breakfast. Each morning when I come in they always ask me if I would like some fresh bacon cooked. You don’t get that kind of service at most hotels. If you want to take my recommendation, this is one of the Most friendliest and hospitable hotels I’ve stayed in. I would recommend everyone to book a room here. You will not regret it”
