“This is becoming our go-to hotel for Chicago area travel. It's difficult to find a place for a family of six to stay in one room but we have enjoyed the suites here on more than one occasion. Our 2-Queen Suite has a kitchenette with a full fridge and a true closing door between the room with the sleeper sofa and the room with the queens. That has helped make our stay so comfortable. The bedroom also had a ceiling fan which really helped the room feel fresh. Like any hotel I recommend bringing some kind of air freshener, because scents waft between rooms, and something like a small aromatherapy mister to help add moisture to a dry room. The breakfast was varied and quite good. The omelettes in particular were surprisingly good for the complimentary breakfast fare.”

The Motel 6 in Prospect Heights, Illinois is one such location. As a person who has traveled quite a bit, there is an expectation for a specific price range. However, the management fosters a higher level of standards, for ethics, customer service and humanity; that rivals some higher priced hotels, that I have stayed in. The rooms are tidy and welcoming. The proximity to public transportation, a small shopping mall and restaurants, within a short walk, make this location a rare and unique find. To the staff, thank you for all you do. “For a low budget hotel it met all my needs. Clean room, comfortable bed, nice staff and ok breakfast. Elevator wasn’t working but the staff was helpful in carrying the luggage to second floor. Would definitely stay again.”

“Immediately upon arrival the staff was great at the front desk. They were warm and welcoming, just what we needed after a day of travel. The hotel stay was short for us but I can say that we didn’t have any complaints outside of the fact that our room was extremely toasty. Although the weather in Chicago was a bit chillier (40s/rainy) it seemed like the room temperature never really got cooler which led to a night of toss and turns because we were uncomfortable. Overall nice stay, just wish it wasn’t so hot in the room making it somewhat of an unbearable night making me want to expedite my stay. Pretty convenient location for travel by Lyft/uber not really within walking distance to much else outside of a few restaurants nearby. They do have a rooftop restaurant bar, super cool and a few bars nearby but nothing a quick Lyft from the hotel can’t change. Hotel parking is quite expensive but cheaper than surrounding. You might be better off not renting if you don’t need to get around. However, if you are planning to travel around like us then I would recommend parking in the lot next to the hotel, (you do not get in and out access) and walk/commute other places.”
