“This was not our first stay here. We have had multiple great experiences here. The rooms are clean, well supplied and very comfortable. The breakfast is very nice, many options and very tasty 😋. The staff is extremely friendly and eager to make your stay enjoyable. Definitely our go to in that area.”

“I stayed here in December with my partner. When we arrived we were shocked to find that the hotel was a complete construction zone. The pool and gym were closed due to construction and open insulation, wired and construction debris lined every hallway. This was not noted upon booking. We arrived late following a cross-country flight only to be awoken at 4AM by an ear piercing alarm. When leaving our room to see what was wrong the elevator was disabled and all hallway doors shut for security measures. After talking to the front desk we were told it was a minor gas leak due to the renovations. We tried to go back to bed but were woken two more times. This was incredibly upsetting to my partner, who has military related PTSD and it put them in an agitated state for the rest of the morning. We contacted management and were told they would not refund our stay because we booked with their partner, Alaska Airlines. After reaching out to Alaska Airlines, who contacted Clarion on our behalf, we were still not able to have the substantial amount of airline miles we used for this stay credited back to our account. I am incredibly upset with the way this was handled and will not be booking with Clarion or Alaska Airlines Hotels again.”

“It was a nice hotel. The breakfast was good. The rooms were dark and quiet. The beds were comfortable. I have a few complaints. The pool was cold. Housekeeping never came to our room. I had asked because we needed linen picked up and trash. I asked a housekeeper in the hall. He said he didn't clean my room that day. I asked if he could just pick up those items. He never did. I know they are busy. So later I asked the front desk and he said they clean the rooms every 4 days. We were staying for 4 days. I asked if I could bring the trash up to the desk. He said to leave it in front of the door and they would pick it up. They didn't until housekeeping did the next day. The mirror in the room says housekeeping comes daily. I didn't want a full clean room, just trash picked up and toiletries if needed. I have never stayed at a hotel without housekeeping coming daily. I wouldn't mind if it was every other day.”

“My semi truck is in the shop. They recommended The Portlander. I'm not disappointed. As far as rooms go, I'm not picky; as long as it's got a clean bed to sleep in and a hot shower, I'm cool. I've been through at the Jubitz truck stop but didn't really get to stay. Being a long-haul driver doesn't allow for a lot of time to stick around. This time, the universe had its way, and I get to rest a little.”

“Honestly was worried about location of this motel as I lived in Portland for nearly 10 years and know it's not the safest but the motel was great. It felt safe and clean and was an easy check in and out. Beds were fairly comfortable even for a plus sized person. I would stay again!”

“I was given the room below the night manager. "He's quiet!" As I listened to him roll his chair across the floor all night. Dropping pens, tossing stuff and talking to whomever. Needless to say I did not sleep. The fire department right down the street only added to the noise. Walls are paper thin. The room itself was fine. Bed fine. It was clean. Hot water eventually came out HOT. Bring a bath plug. They removed them all. I think I just got the bad room at this in. I recommend getting a room that faces away from the freeway/highway and NOT under the manager.”

“Clean nice room. I docked one star for not having enough outlets. I wrongly reasoned that if my husband and I got a 2 bed room we'd have enough outlets near the bed. I was wrong. One outlet was on the wall near his bed, none in the middle, none on my side. The place was nice enough to come back to, so I'll bring a power strip.”
