“After reading the reviews, my family and I decided to give this hotel a try (just for a 2 night stay). I had high hopes for this hotel based off some great reviews and the customer service prior to arrival, that was not the case. While the room was very nice and clean, During our stay there were several issues. Upon check in there were only 3 pillows on our bed. I requested an additional 2 pillows due to the bed being super uncomfortable and being pregnant. I was told the hotel didn’t have a bunch of additional pillows but they would see what they could do and I could pick them up on my way back (I had some errands to run). They washed 2 pillows and told me they would be ready in 15-20 minutes when I came back. I came back 30 minutes later after arriving to the hotel and the pillows they gave me were soaked. Apparently their dryer wasn’t working I was told. Second issue, the hotel is dog friendly. Not an issue. I have a service dog since I’m disabled and I tried to walk my dog outside in the grass area which was covered in hundreds of piles of dog poop. I guess the hotel doesn’t require pet owners to pick up their dog’s waste? So gross 🤢. We liked the fact that the hotel had free breakfast until my husband picked up a bagel that had mold on it. Front desk staff seemed like that was the norm and didn’t seemed bothered by it. Upon waking up this morning (day of check out) I smelled a gas/ propane smell in my room and it was even stronger outside. It was nauseating to the point where it gave me such a bad migraine I couldn’t eat breakfast. I went to inform the front desk and the lady acted like she didn’t care. I asked if they had a manager onsite I could talk to? She rudely stated no, the manager isn’t here. I’m like we’ll can you give me their name and phone number.. she had to look up the managers name cause apparently she didn’t know who the hotel manager was and told me she didn’t know the phone number, I could just call the hotel number back later today but she had no idea who or when the manager would be in. How do you not know who the hotel manager is? I also noticed that outside the hotel by the entrance that there was dryer lint all over the side wall and the dryer vent was so clogged nothing was coming out of it. Huge fire issue waiting to happen especially with the smell of gas/ propane present. Again the receptionist seemed like she didn’t care. My family and I will not be staying here ever again and I highly recommend you reconsider before making your reservation to stay here. “Very clean Room - also the outside area looks clean- a lot of towels in the Bathroom ( wich i like because of my long hair I washed 😎) and it was a hairdryer there. The service around this motel was very friendly and….it is Dog friendly Motel 👍👍👍. We put our own blanket over a king bed. The dogs also had have a good comfortable Night like us . Thanks 🙏”

“15 years we have been going to this place with every year just as good as the last. this year was just not what i was expecting! every year when we check out we set up a reservation for the next year and receive a confirmation letter of our reservation without a deposit because we never needed one over those many years. this year we got there and our room was occupied. showed them the confirmation letter but the paper might as well of been blank because it meant nothing to them. we did get a room in tower two but it cost us 300.00 dollars more which brought the total to close to 1000.00 dollars to stay from 9/5 to 9/10! they gave us 20% off because of the hassle and a room in tower 2 but that meant to me about as much as our confirmation letter meant to them! still had a ocean view which was nice but the room was dirty. i could not walk across the floor which was linoleum without my feet turning black. the garbage was only picked up 3 times in a week and the towels and wash clothes where changed about the same amount of times. no WiFi the whole week but at least the A/C worked. we had to chase them down to get a blanket for the second bed and the halls smelled like i don't know what. needless to say it's a damn shame but we will not be going back to them again!”

“Super friendly service and a great value. I had some friends staying 2 doors down at another motel. They paid about 4 times what I paid. It's right next to the convention hall or whatever it's called, so I guess this would be a great place to stay with events happening in OC. I was looking for an inexpensive place to stay and expected the room to be in poor shape, but it was not. The thing that would get me going back is the friendly customer service. You just don't see that anymore in a lot of places.”
