“Nice place to stay. Central to most places. Really close to the Zoo. If booking a caravan site, definitely book an ensuite site. The amenities block needs more regular cleaning during peak times. Toilet paper constantly ran out and over powering smells and water on the floors. The sites are dirt floor so definitely need your own matting as it's also quiet rocky and hard on the feet. Pool is great for the kids and splash zone. There's a huge jumping pillow, great in the afternoons as there's no shade and very hot on little feet. Space for riding and scooters, cars do tend to go quick around the park which did make is hard for kids to ride at times.”

Unlike other hotels we had visited the Orana had the charger parking spaces coned off. |The room was good, and the hotel well located. |We’d come back to this hotel when we’re in Dubbo.”

“Owner was rude. We booked through a third party booking site, on checking in after an extensive wait to be served, the attendant (I assume owner) went into a full rant about how she hates third party booking sites stating they undercut her and demanded to know what we paid which we told her. She went off about how much she normally charges and was being ripped off then aggressively asked what time we will be checking out. The online booking which only allowed us to nominate 4 people, (we had 5) for the room booked which accommodated five. We pointed this out and were made to pay an additional $20...which is fine, but the whole check in process took 10+ minutes which mostly consisted of her ranting and making us feel unwelcomed, like we had done something wrong even booking to stay here. If we had not already pre-paid we would have left. There looked to be only one other guest staying that night so they should be thankful for the third party site for our whole 12 hour stay there. I will definitely never stay there again and it's a shame people who run a business (I have owned several) treat customers this way with such a greedy focus and lack of hospitality. Wifi didn't work, there was no complimentary little bottles of shampoo or conditioner products that almost all accommodations normally provide, just a wall mounted almost empty squeeze bottle soap. Cheap well used mattresses. The one bottle of water my kid thought came with the room had to be paid for too, again which is fine, but clearly a profit focused business. The room size however was spacious and clean.”

“Newly renovated rooms with very comfortable bed, big tv with netflix and organic bathroom products. The room was very clean and although we only stayed for a night we would have been comfortable for longer. You can tell the owner and staff put a lot of care and attention to detail into the place. “We booked last minute in a clean and tidy room, with a double bed which was very comfortable. The bathroom looked to have been renovated not so long ago and with good water pressure. The staff were more than happy to accommodate with anything we needed while here. Good place to stay.”

“Very comfortable bed, it was 5 star. We intended to go to the restaurant for breakfast. Opening hrs were on the door. When we got there, it was closed and should have been open as per the posted hours. There was no reason posted. no one in reception, so we went elsewhere. We were in room 10. The shower leaked a lot under the door, and the spout over the vanity was ready to fall off it was so loose. Otherwise, the room was very good. I would stay there again.”

“As a pet owner I hate to be treated as a 2nd class citizen. That’s what you get here when you book a pet friendly room. You get put in the old rooms across the road and it’s in poor condition particularly the carpet yet you get charged a cleaning fee which is a rip-off because the carpet hasnt been cleaned in a long time and needs to be replaced. Honestly I’d rather sleep in the car!”
