“The cleanest motel I've ever stayed in. Nicely decorated, super comfy bed. Lots of water pressure in the shower. Nice pool area with a fire feature. Guests get 40% off in the coffee shop. Convenient location to freeway and Imperial Beach. The 7 mile casino next door has excellent food. My only suggestion, patio heaters on the coffe shop patio would be a great addition. The view of the wetlands is very nice.”

“I recently stayed at the hotel and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. The communication among the Filipino staff was a challenge, they talk to each other in there language and without a purpose keep on laughing making us uncomfortable and the lack of a welcoming atmosphere was noticeable. Additionally, my sheets had blood stains, and the response to my complaint was less than satisfactory. I hope the management takes steps to address these issues for future guests. Somebody needs to change the entire crew of this hotel.”

“Location was the best. Walking and driving was easy and short to many food, shops and entertainment. Clean large room with lots of space. Needed an additional chair. And 1 lamp would not turn on. However i was to tired to ask for help. Making room a tad dark. It was quiet. Easy and quick access to park. Breakfast was great, check in and out was great. Staff was friendly. Bed and pillows were comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay again”

“Decent, not my first choice. Curtains in room were held by 🧷 safety pins, very wrinkled dark brown fabric 🫤Breakfast is conciliatory, omelettes were grainy but waffles looked decent. Smart travelers added their own fresh blueberries. Asked if eggs were fresh and they are a “mix.” Had Lucky Charms cereal for the first time in decades 🤭Free, well lit parking is a plus! Just off Hwy so convenient. Checkout was 11am. We were repacking as were headed to a warm climate. Staff knocked on door multiple times, after her 3rd visit and knock, in a towel in said we Will be out by the 11am check out. Why pressure?”

“Nice little family owned motel, very affordable, clean, and welcoming. I stay here whenever I’m in San Diego/Escondido. It’s a bit of a drive to central SD or the beaches, but it’s worth it for a room you can afford and know it’s clean and safe. I bring my 9yr old with me all the time here. It’s safe for him to hang out and swim in the small but clean pool, or relax by the gazebo fountain. They used to offer breakfast, but haven’t since Covid. But there’s a decent bar and grill next door that has good burgers and breakfast, and a gas station and liquor store within a block distance.”

“This hotel has staff that are thieves! I had placed a cash deposit because I felt it to be easier to get it back the next day. I had been driving for days from Texas and needed the rest, when I entered the room given I noticed a smoking smell in the entire hallway. I was so tired I went to sleep. When I was ready to check out Alexis was at the front desk and said she had to inspect the room in order to give my deposit back. I informed her then that the hallway had been smelling horrendous for the last five hours, and was increasingly getting worse I was concerned it might be a dead body or something. When she came back, she said that the room had a cigarette smell, and she could not give me my deposit back. This was entirely untrue. I don’t smoke cigarettes, and I had not smoked anything else in the room. I told her that the hallway smelled disgusting and it was probably leaking into the rooms. She knew very well that that room, and that floor smelled like smoke. she had lied in order to take my deposit and probably pocket it. I insisted to speak to a manager, but she was the only person there that night. Every time I would call the manager after she seemed to be occupied, and she seem to be very busy.. how convenient, The Hotel only upside is the breakfast. Everything else sucks. The staff is rude and Alexis is a thief. My TV was broken my entire stay and I had no energy to get it fixed. on top of that-The housekeeping is overworked and there’s not enough staff to clean all the rooms. Don’t go here”

“It's a good place to stay if you're just looking for a place to sleep. You get the bare minimum when it comes to toiletries. The room is pretty basic - mine had a fridge but no microwave. The coffee maker was missing a part and so it wasn't useable (this happened the last time I stayed here as well). The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. It's in a good location - not too far from anything you want to do in San Diego (I'm all over the place when I visit). The neighborhood isn't great, but it's not bad. I don't know if they still offer breakfast - they did when I stayed previously. You can tell they deal with a lot of homeless and have done a good job of keeping the place clean. However, it's not as nice as it was years ago - but the same can probably be said about San Diego as a whole. Considering the prices of hotels in San Diego, I'd stay here again.”

“The room is VERY nice! Hard surface floors, a good bed (although QUITE HIGH...I am quite short and could have used a step stool!), and comfortable side chair. Lesser quality night stands and side table, but a really nice refrigerator. Seems to have recently been completely remodeled. There was a microwave, but did not try it. Staff is equally nice...they carried my suitcase and coolers upstairs for me. I had requested a first floor room, but was not accommodated. I asked for extra pillows and they were provided immediately. There is no elevator! Free parking...something difficult to find anywhere near San Diego. Well-lit parking area after dark, and plenty of security cameras. The neighborhood seems a little dicey...one never knows what one is going to get near San Diego. Only stayed one night and had no problems of any kind.”
