“Heat was out in our first room, they moved us to a second room with no hassle, but it was a smaller room whoch was sad. Heat was blowing cold in that room too, but the front desk got maintenance in to fix it and the rest of our stay was pleasant. Spent a week there and was never bothered by noise or anything. Only bad thing was the elevator always smelled like weed, but that's not within the hotels control. I'd stay there again. The staff were all very kind and helpful.”

“I'm always shocked by hotel reviews. Cause so many people say stuff like it has just what you need. Im thinking no shot Sherlock what did y'all think it would have. Im more annoyed at the people posting stuff like that than i could ever be at the hotel. It's a for profit business they aren't going to give you more than you need.. This location is between the 400 dollar luxury hotels in uptown and the residential hotels as in they couldn't keep a lease hotels as you go north. I don't know what people are expecting from a hundred dollar hotel. I feel like we live in a society where people think they are fancier than they are. It's just a hundred dollar hotel. They actually fancy people are at the masion on Turtle Creek and you went to the choice hotels app. Which are good hotels that yes only give you what you need. They actually don't give you anything you pay for it in the cost of the room. If they give you more stuff they raise the price. So yes it has exactly what you need. No more than. This ain't Vegas it ain't the trump hotel. i mean it's a chain hotel. The comments i read on here seem like things that should be common sense anyway. Comments like it's fine if your just to go to the convention center. Everytime i read hotel comments I'm floored by how many people thinks it just wasn't quite good enough for them. Well there's always the anatole and the mansion on turtle Creek.”

“Probably one of the worst Holiday Inns in the area, and that's saying a lot. Place was a dump when I stayed there. The person checking you in also serves as a bartender, so you'll wait until all bar guests are satiated before then amble over to check you in. Then, there's the ridiculous $25/night "insurance" fee that isn't mentioned when booking through a third-party website. There's no other amenities to speak of, either. I though they'd at least have complementary coffee in the morning, but it turned out to be just a "restaurant" area and you had to buy coffee. Hallways were dank and smelled like stale cigarettes as though you were transported back to a bowling alley from the 70s. Windows were also thin, in typical cheap hotel fashion, and that made it extra fun to try and sleep with a "gathering" are for the bar right outside your window a few floors below. The only "good" part was that this was by a freeway, so if you're just there for one night and one night only, and not on the side of the building facing the noisy roadway, you should be fine. I'm astonished that this place has a 4-star rating. The company must be harping Google to cleanse that bad ones with actual ratings. Note: They also crowed about being "independently owned." I've been to Texas and lived in Texas, and independently owned just means "screw the customer/resident as much as possible."”

“The staff are pretty nice, my only complaint is that the room smelled like a dirty animal which I was told is the cleaner that housekeeping uses. My daughter also fell asleep on the floor and broke out in this itchy rash, it didn’t last too long but wasn’t cool. The lady at the front said that some of the housekeeping ladies don’t dilute the cleaner enough so that’s probably what happened, luckily I just kept my daughter off the floor(which i obviously try to do anyway lol) and she was fine the rest of the stay. They have breakfast there which is actually pretty good.”

“I stayed here back in October, we were visiting Texas for friend’s wedding. After coming to the hotel late from the wedding the front staff were very helpful with our late check-in. There was no issue with paying with a different credit card, then the issue we had had earlier with my rental car company. I was glad I was just able to check in and rest after a long, stressful day. The room was the adequate size for a couple and since it was a suite it would be a perfect place to stay a few more days. Although we only stayed for a night, we enjoyed our stay. It was close to the airport but we did not hear any planes that were too loud. The parking lot was enclosed and has a roof, which was great for the rainy weather we experienced.”
