The team were all super happy and super friendly too - an all round great time! “What an amazing experience. Do take the time to check out part of Australian History. The Tour guides are knowledgeable and friendly and fun. They make the experience so worth it. I am a fan of story telling and the way the guides tell the story of this amazing place is just super awesome. You can purchase tickets beforehand or upon arrival. Even my Neurodiverse son was thoroughly immersed in it. Make sure you take your walking shoes and hat and drink bottle. Stay for a cuppa and chat with the guides and caretaker afterwards.”

“$35/adult. You can pay at the desk, they give you a quick tutorial and you can wander around. You can either follow on your phone or use one of the handsets to listen to the display information. You put in the corresponding number to hear each information package. Some of them are quite lengthy but overall it's good to hear the history. There is a short movie and 3 rooms to go through to see the displays. There is a store and cafe available. You can go on digs as well but we opted not to go.”

“The games and atmosphere are worth the visit. It's a great place to hangout. The food wasn't anything special but we just had pizza and chips, so the other items might be a better option next time. It took a long time to get served the first time around; the bartender kept serving newer arrivals to the bar before me (don't know if maybe I should have been louder in volume or presence? There wasn't any "who's next"). Second bartender downstairs was super helpful and fast. Music was great, and they kept the place impressively clean throughout the night.”

Lots of people stories on display which brings a personal feel, with the photos attached to the stories you almost feel like you are taken back to those times. I realise it is called the Cairns Museum therefore is about Cairns, but I was expecting a bit more about Cape York as a region, and perhaps something about the unique flora and fauna - there was hardly anything about the wildlife surrounding the Cairns area, apart from a small section about what animals would like to eat you here. Overall very happy with my 1.5 hour visit, would come back for sure.”

“Absolutely ridiculous way to operate this business. Spent the day in Toowoomba finding things to do and found this place on google. Went to the street location to find a locked door with nothing but a direction to book online written on the door. Went online to try book the next session which was 40min later.. but no answer after multiple attempts to call. No person to communicate with, just a locked door. Not everyone wants to book online with hours of notice to give when out and about exploring the town. Makes you wonder how many paying customers have come to the location and walked away because of this.”
