La Citta Perduta
4.6
( 8 reviews )

Via delle Palme, 69 a/b/69 a/b, 00171 Roma RM, Italy

“Board game cafe's tend to be either very nerdy with niche games (like a FLGS) or vary casual with mostly games like Cards against Humanity but this bar nicely sits in between: the crowd isn't a typical gamer crowd but the selection of games is also wider and more modern. Drinks and food at the bar are nice and the atmosphere of the place with many steampunk elements is quite cool. The service at the place was ok, we got a bit overlooked , but can't blame too much for a place so busy even on a Sunday night. Lastly the collection of games was a little disappointing. Many of the modern classics were there but there were also just a ton of games you expect to find in a dollar bin at a thrift store which shouldn't be in a place like this I feel. The collection of playable games is also quite chaotic and the category of accessible 2 player games which you expect most at stores like these was a bit lacking.”

Anzio Beachhead Museum

Via di Villa Adele, 2, 00042 Anzio RM, Italy

“Incredible little museum. So much crammed into a small space. Really impressed. They opened up especially for us that day so a huge thank you to the staff.”

Colosseum

( 8 reviews )

Piazza del Colosseo, 1, 00184 Roma RM, Italy

“A spectacular and monumental place. It’s the story before your eyes. There’s a lack of adjectives. Come in and take it easy. Photos are consequences of what you are able to see and imagine. The ticket is cheap and I recommend you choose the ticket that gives access to the galleries. Walk around and use the subway as a means of transport. And be sure to do the Palatine and the Roman Forum. I’ve been there twice and it’s worth every penny. The sunset here is beautiful.”

La Segreta

Museo Delle Mura
4.5
( 8 reviews )

Via di Porta San Sebastiano, 18, 00179 Roma RM, Italy

“Wow! Such a great surprise to discover a hidden gem like this! 1. It's FREE! 2. it wasn't busy at all (on a cold yet beautiful sunny Sunday noon), for some time we were the only ones there until a large guided group arrived 3. the inside of the wall is impressive and you can walk inside it for a few hundred meters. Unfortunately you can't climb all the way up the tower as it is closed for renovations but you can go up the bridge above the gate (above the road) and see some view of the park. There is signage I'm Italian and in English, there's a toilet and even a little play room for kids in which they can play with small wooden blocks and try to build a model of the wall. Fun!”

Casa Museo Di Giacomo Balla

Via Oslavia, 39b, 00195 Roma RM, Italy

“Beautiful to see, but the organization of the tours was very unprofessional! When buying the (expensive) tickets it said the tour lasts 45 minutes… instead they broke the group up in two and we watched a tv show for 30 minutes and then had only 10 minutes to see the house and were completely rushed out for the next group. It was not what was advertised and if I knew the tour would be so short and so rushed I would have preferred to pay much less.”

“Amazing place to visit, truly an architectural wonder. We visited on the first Sunday in December so admission was free. We went early so the crowds were not bad. We ended up staying for mass which was incredible. It was very moving. If you can only visit a couple of places in Rome this has to be on your list.”

Museo Nazionale Romano, Crypta Balbi

( 8 reviews )

Via delle Botteghe Oscure, 31, 00186 Roma RM, Italy

“One of the nicest museums I’ve ever visited, its collection is vast, they are very well preserved and displayed. It has lots of lovely statues, artifacts and artworks. I really enjoyed my time here, it’s fairly big with lots to see. I really enjoyed my time here and I would love to go back someday. I would definitely recommend visiting this amazingly historical museum / crypt.”

“A nice museum café next to capitol. It operates inside as self service and outside as a normal cafe restaurant. However the service in order to find you a table at the terrace is slow. It has a very nice view!”

Area Archeologica Dei Porti Di Claudio E Di Traiano

Via Portuense, 2360, 00054 Fiumicino RM, Italy

“Lazy public servants - the site officially closes at 4.30 but they close the gate at 3.30 and just keep hanging around biding the time until they can go home.”

Galleria D'arte Moderna
4.1
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 10:00 AM

Via Francesco Crispi, 24, 00187 Roma RM, Italy

“The gallery begins with typically boring sculptures of naked people. We are in Italy after all. I’m not sure why they don’t just put these out on the street, like all the other naked sculptures so they’d have a free extra floor, but that’s just my opinion. It got significantly better from there, with fantastic artworks from Prampolini, divided into different genres of his art, intelligently displaying the broad scope of his life’s work. It’s interesting to see just how influential modern Italian art is on modern design. The Peruzzi exhibition in the top floor was amazing, and really captures the Futurismo style. It captivates the interesting diffusion of cubism from this style, and Peruzzis letters give a clue as to why futurismo lost steam while cubism continued (the war). His other works are also displayed.”

Game Over Escape Rooms - Roma Trastevere

Cinecitta Si Mostra
4.2
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 10:00 AM

Via Tuscolana, 1055, 00173 Roma RM, Italy

“Something different than other Rome's attractions. Definitely recommending to get a tour guide (you can book an English one on weekends via email) as it does not cost more and you can visit film settings and backstage which is the most important part of the Museum. The theroetical exhibition is quite long but also recommended to visit, especially the Fellini part (shortest and most entertaining).”

Must Milonga

Via Capistrano, 36, 00173 Roma RM, Italy

“Every Sunday one of the best milonga in town! A warm welcoming atmosphere, good selection of TDj, big hall and regular attendance of Roma's tango community with great dancers”

Piazza Di Spagna

Piazza di Spagna, 00187 Roma RM, Italy

La Vaccheria

Closed until 09:00 AM

Via Giovanni l'Eltore, 35, 00144 Roma RM, Italy

“Very special and well looked after place. Pleasant visit. Entry is free, and the works on display are interesting. On the second floor there is a third 'exhibition' with photos on the history of the cow farm before it became an exhibition. The only flaw is that they should use the space to put more works, and perhaps also make use of the outdoor space.”
