Museo Nazionale Della Certosa Monumentale Di Calci
4.9
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 09:00 AM

Via Roma, 79, 56011 Calci PI, Italy

“Nice to visit, but if you are a non Italian speaker, you pay full fee and get no service. The guide isn't bothered by non Italians who have to glare at one (English) one pager 🤫 Not very religious for such a religious place 😇”

I Re D'egitto

Closed until 10:00 AM

Via della Scala, 49R, 50123 Firenze FI, Italy

“I was having falafel with my mom the other day (in the US) and I was saying, "this is pretty good, but the best falafel I ever had was that place in Florence. That place was so great. I wonder if it's still there..." I did study abroad in Florence for 9 months over 30 years ago and I made sure to bring my mom to get falafel when she visited me, because it was that good. All I remembered was that it was Egyptian and was near Santa Maria Novella. I googled it and here it is. I guess I shouldn't be surprised it's still around, anyplace that great would surely stay in business. I'm not an expert on middle eastern food by any stretch, but I have lived in NYC, Paris, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC--all places with great international food options--and Re d'Egitto is hands down the best falafel I've ever had.”

Franco Zeffirelli Foundation

Closed until 10:00 AM

Piazza di S. Firenze, 5, 50122 Firenze FI, Italy

“You definitely have to love film and stage design to fully appreciate this place.. But if you do, then it a stellar experience. Seeing the transformation from Zefferelli's graphic representation to stage: play and opera, gives an insight into what an imagination and vision he must have had. I loved the Inferno room and his pictorial translation of Dante's Circles of Hell..Spent over two hours here and then enjoyed their tapas and coffee outside.”

Palatine Gallery

Closed until 08:00 AM

Piazza de' Pitti, 1, 50125 Firenze FI, Italy

“This is one of the nicest museums I’ve ever visited, it has several parts to it. It has lots of amazing artwork, artifacts, paintings, statues, and much more. It has a very big collection that is very well displayed and preserved. It’s definitely worth visiting, I really enjoyed my time here and I would definitely recommend visiting this museum and its many galleries.”

Casa Buonarroti

Via Ghibellina, 70, 50122 Firenze FI, Italy

“The house Museum of Michelangelo is absolutely spectacular; it’s got lots of his works on display. They are very well preserved and displayed, it’s really a unique museum to visit. It has his works of art ranging from paintings, to drawings, statues, sculptures and other various artifacts. I really enjoyed my time here and I would definitely like to go back. Closed until 12:00 PM

Via Sandro Pertini, 101, 50041 Calenzano FI, Italy

“Intrigued by the positive reviews, we decided to go for lunch. The place is very small, "dark" and chaotic. The tables among other things are very close to each other so the place is not worth it. Plus we expected something better in terms of food. In particular on the Uramaki, we took several dishes and each of them had raw rice. Unfortunately, according to my taste (both the place and the dishes), I don't recommend it and I won't go back 😀🤷🏽‍♀️”

Lucca Escape Room
4.5
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 03:00 PM

Via Nicola Barbantini, 49, 55100 Lucca LU, Italy

“This is the best Escape room in Lucca, and the employees are very welcoming and friendly. What is unique about this escape room is that they have 20 minute rooms and 45 minute rooms. The 20 minute rooms seem short, but they are definitely solvable. Additionally they're only €5 per person for the short rooms and €15 per person for the long rooms. Unlike some other escape rooms they can be done in smaller groups of 2 3 or 4 people. You don't need a team of 10 to succeed in these escape rooms. There is a variety of themes which makes for an interesting experience as well.”

The Book Pub
4.4
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 06:00 AM

Piazza Lorenzo Ghiberti, 11/12r, 50121 Firenze FI, Italy

“Best actual pub I found in Florence. Almost all locals, no tourists besides me. Exceptional hangout to get away from the tourists. They also play a ton of American Classic Rock.”

Corridoio Vasariano
4.5
( 10 reviews )

Lungarno degli Archibusieri, 50122 Firenze FI, Italy

“The Vasari corridor was closed when I visited but it was nice walking by the exterior of the corridor and the view of the Arno river is great”

Laurentian Medici Library
4.3
( 10 reviews )
Closed until 10:00 AM

Piazza di San Lorenzo, 9, 50123 Firenze FI, Italy

“Unfortunately this place is very poorly run. The hours appearing on Google and their website are not the hours they advertise on-site. When you buy a ticket for San Lorenzo they ask you if you want to buy one for the library at the same time, but don't tell you it is open for only three hours. It could be about to close in an hour and they wouldn't tell you or advise you to visit it before the church so you have time. When we came back after visiting the church it was closed and they wouldn't give us our money back even when we pointed out the completely innacurate hours on their website and lack of posted information beyond one tiny printed sheet in a window. I'm sure Michelangelo would be disgusted by how they're disgracing his (so I'm told) beautiful library.”
