Limburg An Der Lahn Altstadt
4.8
( 8 reviews )

Fischmarkt, 65549 Limburg an der Lahn, Germany

“Absolutely loved the "old town centre" the old buildings and structures, the area is busy and the food venues and pubs do a good trade here. The amount of small detail makes it so very interesting, really worth while making a detour here to visit. Hihjly recommended.”

Entry is free, there are lockers for your bags and jackets to leave downstairs also free of charge and toiletts. Exibition is easy to overwatch and not to miss anything. Everything is in German and also English. Very useful and interresting information and many interactive screens. I think it is very good for adults and specially kids. Highly recommend”

Hexenturm Idstein

Closed until 08:00 AM

Schloßgasse, 65510 Idstein, Germany

“The Witch-Tower (Hexenturm): Well the story has it that this tower has nothing to do with witch huntings. But then again underneath the tower there is a list of names of the "witches" (also some male witches) that were executed. But I am not so good at history so I think this needs more digging to figure out. However if u r interested in going up the tower u can get the keys to the tower from the most beautiful tourist information center I have ever seen. The tower has about 120 stairs and the climb at the end becomes steep and a bit tight. So if u r claustrophobic or afraid of heights, I would suggest u omit this tourist stop. From up there u have a beautiful view of the old town. The key can stay with u for exchange with an ID for about 30mins. I suggest once u go in the tower lock the door behind u otherwise people just walk in and think it is open all day long and then u r responsible to get them out and return the key on time.”

Hessisches Puppen- & Spielzeugmuseum
4.7
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 01:00 PM

Parkpromenade 4, 63454 Hanau, Germany

“Lovely doll museum with an incredible dolls' house in the form of a large department store. There is also a fabulous display of a Japanese town and market. Full of lovely detail but most of the explanations are only in French. It would be nice if there were some English explanations as well. It is upstairs but I think there was a lift. There are little folding stools provided so you can sit down whilst studying the exhibits. Well worth a visit and the carpark is about 200 yards away. The museum building is set within a beautiful park.”

Legendary Lasertag Giessen
4.5
( 8 reviews )

Erdkauter Weg 52, 35392 Gießen, Germany

“This arena was on my list for a while and as I was around I decided to give it a try. It's equipped with 20 wests, beacons, targets and even though the arena is quite small in comparison to the majority of the other arena's I have visited so far the map is designed really well. First of all I was surprised that there is no payment before the games - but some arena's do it alike so I didn't give that too much attention, especially since there was a special offer of 3 games for 15.00 EUR for members - so I expected a price around 20 EUR after my 4th mission. Upon payment I was requested to pay 7.00 EUR per game. Pointing at the "special offer" I was told that the owner restricts special offers to local players - which wasn't stated anywhere and is quite outrageous. Taking into account that my equipment was malfunctioning in the last game makes it even worse. As I have 3000+ games of different game types in 20+ arena's I have been around for a while and never saw such a customer treatment anywhere; usually the "member" card is also priced at 2.00 EUR or like 4.00 EUR with a very custom design ... in this arena its 6.00 EUR. The only reason this rating is not 1 star are the 2 employee's which have been working as I was around.”

Frankfurter Kunstverein
4.3
( 8 reviews )

Markt 44, 60311 Frankfurt am Main, Germany

“Their waitress was super unfriendly and rude. We ordered enough food and drinks, and the restaurant was quite empty, only serving 3 tables. We asked for tap water, but the service didn't want to bring it to us, saying, 'it's not common in Germany and we only serve it with coffee'. The food took quite long and came cold, I can't recommend it. Never going back to this cafe, terrible service.”

Am Freiheitspl. 18 a, 63450 Hanau, Germany

“The Library is very excellent. There’s a lot of books and media. But if you find the place that quiet and peaceful for reading, you should better go to another place. Because Kids run and scream so loud and some people are talkative too.”
