“Clear inscriptions visible of the time of samrat ashok. It describes about the ban on animal slaughter put by samrat ashok on his kingdom. The inscription is in brahmi script in the pali/prakrit languages. The hindi translation is available beside the edict. Also its a huge rock. Covers the entire room. Its also said to be growing in size with time. The rock was found at this very site. Great site for history enthusiasts. Must visit.”

“I visited this place on 22 July 2023 ( Saturday ) as I had thought of going here for a long time and finally got time for it, and was so happy to see this "museum of conflicts" it was opened in 14 April 2013 and it was designed by Avni Sethi as a part of her final project. The building was originally known as The Gool Lodge, which was owned by Bachuben Nagarwala, a Parsi lady and the first trained beautician and hairstylist of amdavad This two-storey building has now been divided into several galleries, each presenting a different form expression of people's voices and thoughts it acts as a space that enables different section of the society to engage in various topics of conflict through artistic and creative ways it was founded with the intention of educating the community about conflict through alternative forms of art and culture. The goal was to look at conflict from a different angle than it typically was, to look past its tragic past Through this the museum aims to show that conflicts are necessary in a society as it helps it grow into an ideal society. Visitors are encouraged to experience the exhibits through their five senses. In the end after coming from here I learned many new things and allowed my mind to preview things from other perspectives as well”

“At a Glance Bhikhabhai Jivabhai Vanijya Mahavidyalaya (BJVM) is named after grandfather of Shri Upendrabhai M. Patel, the Chairman of Shree Dinesh Mills Ltd., Vadodara. Bhikhabhai Jivabhai Patel the donor hailed from village Ode. He started his career as a humble teacher getting meager salary of rupees 12, who later became the Manager of Rajpura Mills and then the founder of New Rajpura Mills. Late Shri Bhaikaka approached him with the purpose to obtain donation which late Shri Bhikhabhai Jivabhai readily and happily gave. With the help of this donation it was possible to establish the present Commerce College -BJVM. The donor became successful industrialist with his innate capacities, understanding and substantial hard work, and started Textile mills in Ahmedabad. His second generation members Shri Upendrabhai, Shri Girishbhai, Shri Bharatbhai further developed the business and diversified it by successfully managing Shree Dinesh Mills Ltd., Now; they are exporting wollen clothes and enjoy prime status among industrialists. The foundation stone of BJVM was laid by Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the First President of India on October 16, 1950 and was inaugurated by Shri Kasturbhai Lalbhai, a renowned industrialist of Gujarat. The college started functioning from June 15, 1951 with an enrolment of 51 students in its B. Com. Course. Over the years, it has grown in all dimensions and has become the torch-bearer in academic field. Being the pioneer institute, to launch BBA programme in the whole of Western region the college is still very serious about conducting the Personality and Character Building activities on regular basis. The college has been established by Charutar Vidya Mandal(CVM), Vallabh Vidyanagar; and The college is affiliated to Sardar Patel University (SPU), Vallabh Vidyanagar. College is Re-Accredited 'B' Grade by NAAC in Year 2015.”
