The dark wood carvings throughout the house are fascinating. There was a Gentleman Jack exhibition on during our visit. Gardens are free to visit and make for a nice walk. Great tea room on sire.”

There is not much left to see but the best part about visiting is, apart from the obvious old & new photo opportunity, is the gorgeous Castle Square with it's magnificent fountain and waterfall features. “Hadn’t visited for over a year, and was excited to come now my youngest child is able to play. However I was really disappointed. The place was ice cold! Really, really uncomfortably cold. The place felt a little tired compared to our last visit, and there weren’t many bits and pieces in the houses. There were no ice cream cones for the parlour, and the animals in the vets looked like they had seen far better days. There are also far too many little written signs - telling you not to do this and that! Not as magical as we remembered and definitely don’t visit in winter 🥶”
