“Amazing to think how many people lived in this area before European settlers headed this way. We only did a few miles at the very beginning, but to see houses and structures over a thousand years old was pretty cool. Also at the visitor …”

“Interesting, not a very large museum. We took our grandkids, and they enjoyed it. Lots of curios of Sasquatch stuff. It's worth stopping for even if you don't go through the museum.”

Museum Of Colorado Prisons

Closed until 10:00 AM

201 N 1st St, Cañon City, CO 81212, United States

“Prior to visiting this museum a local advised to watch the 1949 "Canon City" movie through youtube to get a context of what this museum is all about. Although this museum is actually the Woman's side of the prison (Man's side is still in use), you still get the full gest of how it's built. To start, we had to park in the back since the F-450 was too big to fit in the small front parking lot. We toured the outside of the walls for about 30 minutes reviewing the buildings and gas chamber. There wasn't any cost associated with that. I guess this is to "wet your whistle" before entering the main museum and gift shop. Walking up the 20 steep steps to get into the door we were greeting by an enthusiastic receptionist that gave us a quick overview of the facilities. Then we went on a self-paced tour. There was approx 30 cells, each outfitted with memorabilia and history of events, weapons used by inmates, riot control items, uniforms, movie garb, medical items, Warden Best saddles, and stories about how, when and where the history took place, gang member photos, chow hall, fire department equipment, and all the other items you'd expect to house all the inmates. THEN, there was the lower deck that portrayed inmate created items, infirmary, scale models replica of the gas chamber and how it was built and how rehabilitation for prisoners was their primary goals. As you exited the lower deck you can visit the gift shop. Some pretty neat stuff in there. This should be a bucket list item and we highly recommend you spend the 10 bucks to get in. We spent about an hour 1/2 here”

Morrison Natural History Museum

( 10 reviews )
Closed until 10:00 AM

501 CO-8, Morrison, CO 80465, United States

“This review is way overdue. My family and I visited this fantastic museum back in March 2022 and we all certainly had an awesome experience! Lucas Todd was extremely well versed on every aspect of the museum. He is very nice and professional and he took his time explaining and answering all our questions. We definitely ended the tour so much better educated on fossils. Thank you Lucas for taking the time to enlighten all of us. An unforgettable experience we all loved!”

Trve Brewing Company

Closed until 11:00 AM

227 Broadway #101, Denver, CO 80203, United States

“Had the pleasure (or should I say, the angsty delight?) of dining at the most unique chicken and waffle bar I've ever encountered. This place is like stepping into a modern gothic establishment, nice dark and broody atmosphere. The staff, while likely nursing some epic hangovers and sporting perpetually disheveled hair, are probably friendly beneath their tough exteriors and you're not there early. Their snarky comments and eye-rolls only added to the charm of the place. But let's talk about the real star of the show – the food. The chicken was super spicy, like it had a chip on its shoulder, and the waffles were fluffy, crispy, and simply divine. It was like a flavor battle in my mouth, and I couldn't get enough of it. So, if you're in the mood for some deliciously rebellious chicken and waffles and don't mind the angsty metal vibes, this place is an absolute must-try. It's a gastronomic adventure that will leave your taste buds screaming for an encore!”

“I go all the time with my friends! Very fun safe spot to go if you are a female. The bouncers are amazing people and if you need anything ask them they are always willing to try and help. I go by myself sometimes and even then I feel very safe. Outside is well lit as well. There is no reentry if you are under 21 so be aware of that!”

Great open space for a big or small event. And the staff blew me away. They were organized, professional, and made our special day absolutely perfect. Thank you, Vehicle Vault Staff, especially Meagan and Mac!!”

Sylvan Lake State Park
4.8
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 08:00 AM

10200 Brush Creek Rd, Eagle, CO 81631, United States

“On a whim, my wife and I were looking for a new lake to fish, as the spring runoff made the creeks and rivers too high and fast for fly fishing. We found Sylvan Lake, and couldn’t have been happier with our decision. We found this hidden gem in the mountains outside of Eagle. They have cabins and yurts for rent, although we just stayed for the day. A day pass was only $10. The lake has a nice easy hiking trail and many fishing access points around it. The entire trail around the lake is about 1.4-1.5 miles. There is a small inlet creek crossing that has a wooden bridge on the far end of the lake. Views of the mountains near the salt/aspen from the lake are absolutely stunning. We wish we would have brought our SUP, because the waters were very calm, despite there being a breeze around the lake. I would highly recommend this relatively hidden lake for camping or a nice day trip.”

Heritage Lakewood Belmar Park
4.7
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 10:00 AM

801 S Yarrow St, Lakewood, CO 80226, United States

“A beautiful park with a great exercise trail. We visited this location on a beautiful Saturday morning hoping to schedule a guided tour. Unfortunately, the guided tour was unavailable. However, we were able to retrieve a map from the visitor/museum center. We walked around exploring the historic grounds and ended up spending two hours on the trails. The trails were full of horse back riders, joggers and dog walker's. Everyone was friendly and positive vibes were flowing. In addition, we enjoyed a brief stop at the museum (don't forget to leave a small donation). To get the best experience, I highly recommend you stop by the visitor center to get a map and dial the number listed for LAKEWOOD BY CELL. Overall, a wonderful walking tour with informative historical sites.”

Vilar Performing Arts Center Beaver Creek
4.8
( 10 reviews )

68 Avondale Ln, Beaver Creek, CO 81620, United States

“A truly incredible venue nestled in the magnificent mountains of Colorado. The theatre is stunning, with a contemporary design in wood that feels warm and cozy. The sound was spectacular, it boosts one of the best systems for a smaller venue. Rather mind-blowing to realize the theatre sits three floors below street level. Here on work with a concert tour, the support staff was friendly and skilled. A real pleasure, look forward to getting back.”

“So frustrated!! Ordered a bottle of Code 4 on 12/9/23 to be shipped to NY, switched to Speakeasy via web for order completion, was not aware of this at the time. Today is 12/21/23 - I have sent emails to your distillery and to Speakeasy with no update as to when shipping will occur. However, you processed payment in a timely manner. I will begin disputing the charge on my credit card as no one is able to supply any information to me.”

Rambler Ranch
5
( 8 reviews )

36370 Forest Trail, Elizabeth, CO 80107, United States

“What a great museum! I took my Dad and Son here and wish I had visited sooner. I have been to car museums all over the world and this place ranks WAY up there among the best of them. Not only is there extremely rare cars from the beginning to end of Nash & AMC there’s also some great classic appliances in their own settings (Kelvinator and Nash were the same company) and the preserved 60s house was like going back in time. I highly recommend this place and Terry the owner is a great host!”

The Museum Of Boulder
4.4
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 09:00 AM

2205 Broadway, Boulder, CO 80302, United States

“A very good museum to visit if you're new to Boulder as a resident or just visiting. The permanent exhibit outlines all the key components of Boulder history from the American Indian influence to the artistic, scientific, and outdoor related activities. The temporary exhibit of the Hispanic influence is excellent, and portions of which should be incorporated in the permanent exhibit. A number of areas will interest the kids, so bring them along! More recently, a great new exhibit that outlines the contributions of multiple black Coloradans. Definitely a must see!”

Deviation Distilling
4.8
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 12:00 PM

1821 Blake St #130, Denver, CO 80202, United States

“Fun Holiday cocktails. The Christmas cosmo was delish, the White Russian was so so. The butter board was good, the bread was amazing that came with it. Service was a tad slow and I had to grab our waitress as she was on her phone. All in all I’d return and have cocktails again!”
