Even though I couldn't see any flowers, I was hoping to see some on the ridgeline of Mt. Sharidake, but unfortunately it was cloudy. I couldn't see the Shiretoko Mountain Range or Mt. Sharidake. As expected, the tourist center was empty, and the clerk was offering a large discount on local specialty kelp, so I bought it. This is a chance for those who like kelp. I don't think it's worth it to go there just for that purpose (lol). However, just looking at the spacious scenery gave me a sense of something out of the ordinary, and that was a good thing. I think it would be possible to drive with a hot spring set.”

“The place is small but there are lots of things to do. The seal is fun to watch, and there are many aquarium displays inside. The clione display is interesting and clean. Next to it is the museum which included in the fee, which are full of interactive aparatus to teach kids. There is an interesting exhibition of antartic ice expedition. The planetarium show lasts for 30 minutes and is a must go. I spent a lot of time in here and it was fun.”

“The Notsuke Peninsula is a wonderful place, including this scenery. This vast sand spit terrain was very nice and worth seeing. It looks like the dead firs will be completely gone soon. Even though it was already mid-September, I was bitten by a large number of large mosquitoes, and the itching was extremely painful. According to the locals, the outbreak had subsided considerably a week ago, but it seems to have suddenly flared up again. If you visit when it's warm, it's best to take precautions against mosquitoes.”
