“In order to pass on the memory of war and the importance of peace to future generations, please be sure to stop by when you come to Okinawa.”
424番地 Yamagawa, Motobu, Kunigami District, Okinawa 905-0205, Japan
“This place is very underrated and underpriced. It’s located in the same area as the aquarium so it gets overshadowed. If you only want to visit this place without going through the aquarium, you can do that as well. The entrance fee is only ¥180 for adults and kids are free. If you like history this is a good place to visit. If you’re Pacific Islander, this whole museum is dedicated to the Pacific Islands. There’s a planetarium in there with different showing times. It’s all in Japanese but they give out headphones so you can follow along with a translation in the language of your choice ( they have English, Korean, Chinese etc..). Overall a great experience. Overall a very interesting and great visit.”
Itokazu-667-1 Tamagusuku, Nanjo, Okinawa 901-0606, Japan
“The cave was used by the Japanese Imperial Army as a field hospital. It is necessary to make a reservation in order to visit the cave as it is on demand guided tour only. There are only Japanese language tour guides and no photo inside the cave is allowed. As there is no artificial light inside the cave, so bring a flash light or rent one from the ticket counter.”

“I think everything in this museum should be translated into English. Museum about children of Okinawa who died due to American army attacked the boat they were evacuating at.”
Katsurenhiga, Uruma, Okinawa 904-2316, Japan
“Beautiful island and beach. Nice and special place to visit if come to 海中道路。 The natural sound make people feld relax.”
Hentona, Kunigami, Kunigami District, Okinawa 905-1411, Japan
“Yanbaru National Park was one of the biggest reasons for us to visit the north part of Okinawa island. The park is amazing and we had a great time climbing the mountain area around the Yonaha mountain , the tallest mountain of the Okinawa main island. Little bit disappointing was that the top of the mountain doesn’t have any sign about reaching the absolute top and you can get easily confused whether you already climbed the top or not. Otherwise the place is so much fun and there are many things worth visiting in the National park other than Yonaha, for example famous waterfalls and others.”
1136-1 Namihira, Yomitan, Nakagami District, Okinawa 904-0322, Japan
“Relatively easy to find. I came here in peak summer time, so beware of the mosquitoes in this area! A very sad history behind what happened at this ガマ cave. Rest In Peace 🙏 …”
